Rofl! Well I've never done quite that, but I have jumped about a half foot into the air at some moments in games. That may not sound like much, but when you're sitting and jump clear off of the couch without your feet touching the floor, that's saying something. I call it the scary game butt jump. haha Games that made me do it were Clock tower (PSX, not SNES, though the SNES one is great too), and Dino Crisis 1. Don't play them alone or in the dark.

A butt jump moment in Dino Crisis would be when you're in the office with a corpse, and all of a sudden, a T-rex busts it's head through the wall and tries to eat you alive. Or when a Velociraptor crashes down through an overhead vent and uses you for a chew toy. lol
Clock tower butt jumps are when you're hiding under the bed or in a box, and you think the murderer doesn't know. Then right before he walks off, he shoves three foot shears through the bed/box and impales you. You never know if a hiding place will work or not.
*turns light on* xD

Games don't really scare me, but I have to admit Bioshock kept scaring surprising the crap out of me. All because the enemies jump out of nowhere and then a Big Daddy would truck without a warning.

[EDIT] I take back scaring with surprising

I don't get scared when I play video games. They are all predictable so it doesn't surprise me at all.

"Doom 3" (for the X-Box).
The whole thing.
Particularly the level with the first "chainsaw wielding demon" you fight against.
Even the save files are buggy and random. It is as though the game was designed to mess with the players head in several slight mundane manners. The bathroom scene was cool the "over the top" music that cued only when a dramatic moment happened. That game was like the movie JAWS on steroids. Even with the cheat codes (you have to re-enter them after every level) that game can be disturbing and creepy. That game only needed to have a better title than Just a Part 3. It's basically Doom Reloaded, or Doom Retold, or Doom Rebirth. Any of those would have made a better title. The Fear factor that was absent in the other games, due to the technology limits of the time, had now arrived. This game was intended to scare and give nightmares to the weak. I can stomach quite a bit of weird games or concepts. "Silent hill"? No Problem. "Resident Evil"? No Problem. "Dead Space"? Bring it on. But "Doom 3" is as freaky as I'm willing to handle. I can only suggest you play this game if you want to diet easily or have a strong desire to "see you meal twice." Super skinny people can stay away from this one. Eat something instead and thank me in the morning. For people having trouble remaining sober I highly recomend this game. If you are not as "proper as a pastor on a Sunday morning" after completing this thing then I suggest getting professional help.
Good Luck To All.
I'm Done. Stick a Fork in me.
Peace.

Playing Resident Evil in the dark
such a good game but scares the crap out of me every-time i play it at night. Though that's one of the big reasons I continue to play the game.

Okay, lots of scares come to mind. I'll list a few.
Resident Evil 4- The regenerators. Walking into a room and only hearing their staggered breathing scares the Johnson out of me.
Silent Hill 2- Everything in general. The atmosphere and sound effects, mostly.
Resident Evil Code Veronica X- Walking into a room with a steel fence bottom and you can see a blindfolded, gagged, bloody zombie at the bottom with its hands tied behind it's back, making extremely disturbing screaming noises.
Metroid Prime 2- Walking through the hallway with a bunch of Metroids trapped inside their holding tubes, and then suddenly they break out. It caught me off guard.
Manhunt- The Final Boss, Pigsy. It's really scary, considering he walks around with a chainsaw and you have to hide in the shadows and wait for a time to strike. If Pigsy sees you, he chases you down the hallways. It's a really well designed boss fight, but man is it scary.
Manhunt 2- The final level that takes place in a psychological graveyard, with random ghosts appearing to kill you. Also a very violent shovel-to-face moment at the end.
Metal Gear Solid 3- The Sorrow. A ghost boss. Throughout the battle, all of the people that you have killed throughout the game walk slowly, trying to attack you. It also shows how they died. For example, if I slit someone's throat, their ghost would walk slowly with their neck severed, gushing blood. Also, whenever The Sorrow attacks you, the screen flashes a disturbing image on the screen with a screaming noise.

Mine was with the Super Famicom Clock Tower. I was running away from scissorman, and I went to the garage. I climbed a ladder in the garage and pushed it down to get higher up and away from him. The scissorman left, and I was calm. But then, he "teleports" and jumps OUT OF THE CEILING. There was no escape. I was stabbed...that game scares to this day.

Times for me playing stuff like Amnesia: The Dark Descent(with mods or without em') and Slender: Haunt, I personally jump up a quarter of a foot to half a foot, and then if I'm really freaked out, I just turn on all the lights that I can see. Yeah, call me a little wimp; I know I am.

I have had a lot of scary moments in Video games because I really enjoy the survival horror genre but I will pick my best two.

Once when I was playing Silent Hill: Downpour, I was in the part where I was in the library and there was a shadowy figure running around and I was walking down a row of book shelves.  There was no music and the room was absolutely silent.  I walked down the row of shelves for about five seconds and the wind from outside blew a curtain between the shelves and I nearly had a heart attack because I didn't know what it was for a second.  Luckily the curtain didn't try to attack me XD

The second story I have is that one time when I was playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent (I don't know why this freaked my out so much but it did) I was walking up a small straight stair case and when the staircase ended there was one of the monsters right at the top looking directly at me.  Unfortunately I decided to turn around and run but it didn't actually see me until I booked it down the stairs.  I died

To be honest I don't remember if I have ever been scared from a game o.o
I don't think I have its partly why I would rather watch someone else play certain games like Dead space and Silent hill.
Because I see no point in playing them myself if that scare factor wont effect me lol
I'm the same with movies don't watch horrors because they don't scare me

I do recall that I always get scared when Bowser laughs, in Super Mario 64, that is. I always went to Jolly Roger Bay whenever I heard that laugh, the music always makes me calm.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
