So i got pokemon black 2 recently, and as i was playing i just felt as if i was playing pokemon platinum or soul silver or any of the pokemon games for ds, i just felt as if pokemon could have improved on more things or changed some mechanics, anyone else think this?

I think that the developers could have done this...

1. Better looking Pokemon- Don't get me wrong some Pokemon look cool (The Water starter, Hydraous, Legendaries). But a good amount of Pokemon look either to similar to other Pokemon, don't look like Pokemon, or are just downright ugly. Maybe they should have expanded the evolution charts for some of the Single evolution Pokemon so that way all Pokemon had at least 3 evolutions.

2. Made the game slightly more challenging (at least to me). Maybe raise the level of some the Wild Pokemon, Trainers, Leaders, and E4. Or they should have added a difficulty mode select option so that way people who want a challenge can get one and those who don't want to be challenge, don't have to worry.

I'm interested to see what people say about this.  Since I'm in the process of creating a hack, I'm trying to keep things like difficulty in mind so when I begin changing trainers, the game doesn't get screwy difficulty.  With the exception of the battle trains and towers, the games really are easy, but if you begin inflating the levels of everything, then you will level faster due to the increased experience.  I've found that the design is solid enough and the difficulty is better than most of the hacks.

What does everyone else think about hacks?

In black and white (2) if u use u-turn u normally come back but if u are the last pokemon the battle just go further and further without u can switch out (so ur dead)

The only real complaint I have about the newer Pokemon games is the repetitive Fire starters, and the outright laziness on the art of some of the Pokemon. 3rd gen, 4th Gen, and 5th Gen all have fire starters that are Fire-Fighting. Fire is my favorite type, so having three fire starters in a row of the same type is obnoxious and lazy. Also, a few of the Pokemon in 5th gen (e.g. Garbador) are very lazily drawn and are almost an insult to bad*** looking Pokemon like Charizard and Swampert.

Other than those couple of things, I think 4th and 5th gen made several great improvements, like making all TMs last forever and making the Elite Four improve after you beat them the first time.

i know some bad things about some of the attacks. attacks like overheat loose power the more you use them but if you use them they lower your special attack so all of your other special moves will loose power too and they still havnt inproved it

I think a big mistake Nintendo made in generation four, was when they changed the Safari Zone to the Great Marsh. This limited the kinds of Pokemon able to be found. An even bigger mistake was taking out the Safari Zone all together in generation five. I liked the Pokewalker in Heartgold and Soulsilver, and I think in generation six they should make the pedometer (or whatever it's called) in the 3DS have a similar effect.

Being perfectly honest the 3D aspect may work will with the new Pokémon games, only if they use it to its full potential. For example Kid Icarus Uprising did it right, unlike certain unmentionables.
