I would have to go with Mario Party with this one. yeah, I love Mario Kart, especially the originals, but they get repetitive after a while this doesn't. Its new every time.

BNuge : I agree that the newer Mario Part Game was a bit of a disapointment. I loved the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th were good games. Although I hated when they got rid of Donkey Kong as a playable character.

I wasn't really a fan of Mario Party 5. I didn't even know they pulled Donkey Kong since I didn't really play any games after MP4. I vaguely remember renting 5 and 6 from Blockbuster (back when they still had stores), but they weren't worth buying.

But back on topic I loved the Mario Kart Tag Team game plus the Wii Mario Kart. The original wasn't that impressive in my opinion.

Mario Party or Mario Kart. Well Mario Party features game boards, minigames, and multiplayer. While Mario Kart has Multiplayer, racing, wifi, (for mario kart 7, wii, and ds.) and battle mode. (Which I hear Mario Party has some battle minigames.) The game I would pick would pick in my opinion would be neither because both Mario Party and Mario Kart are really great game in the Mario franchise. They both have multiplayer so you can play with your friends. So I pick neither in my opinion.

Mario Kart is better, because most of the Mario Parties are the same, and 9 is stupid, and Mario Kart has had some good new additions. Plus, A game of Mario Kart is a lot quicker than Mario Party.

Both are pretty good but I prefer Mario Kart. It is very quick going and extreme too, when you have to fear of blue shells or falling not getting first really. Mario Kart Wii is the best one though. It's fun to drive with the Wii remote and you can do tricks which are pretty cool. 
Mario Party is nice and smoothing and has fun mini games and settings, but Mario Kart is just more exciting.
