Mega Man was released in 1990 by Capcom for the NES. The game has better graphics then it's predecessor's and some extremely catchy music. There are several innovations in this game, like the ability to use rush coil which is your robot dog to jump to very high places, speed past danger on the rush jet, and go through underwater levels with ease with the rush submarine. The jet and the submarine are unlockable after defeating specific robots. There are new robots that have some unique powers, the robots are, spark man, snake man, needle man, hard man, top man, magnet man, gemini man, and shadow man. Each has a special power that you will receive after you defeat a one of them. There is also Protoman and 4 mystery robots you have to defeat after you defeat the 8 main guys.
STORY: The story starts out with Dr Willy. Having his evil schemes destroyed twice, he works with Dr. Light to create a peace keeping robot called " Gamma". Then there are robot masters that are set in charge of mining areas. These robots then go crazy and they then steal 8 of the power crystals from Gamma. Mega Man is sent with his robot dog rush, to retrieve the power crystals and return them to Dr Light then once again Dr. Willy becomes evil and steals Gamma and takes him to his fortress. Then Mega Man must go in the Fortress and defeat Dr. Willy and destroy his fortress!
GRAPHICS: The graphics are impressive. More detailed levels and enemies. The graphics are a lot more defined I'll just put it to that.
SOUND: The sound is great, you can tell immediately when you hear the title screen song. Its surprisingly long and complex. Then you hear the music in the levels, they are way more complex and upbeat then the previous title. I actually remember these songs the most because I enjoy the more upbeat music.
ADDICTIVENESS: This game is very addicting and fun and I bet that you will think the same way when you play this game.
DEPTH: They put a lot of levels and stuff in this game. There are 21 levels, 11 weapons 8 from the robots and the 3 rush coil item, Larger levels in my opinion and more enemies. So this game has about twice the amount of levels then Mega Man 1.
DIFFICULTY: The game is more difficult then the first one and has about the same difficulty as the second one. You will have a harder time finding the weapon that works on a boss.
OVERALL RATING 9.3
