Pokemon - I have always been in love with Pokemon since it came out. I have watched Pokemon. I have Played Pokemon. I have collected Pokemon. I consider myself a Pokemon fanatic due to how much Pokemon i like, watch, collect, etc. I have Pokemon games, books, drawings, cards, figurines, etc. Pokemon is and will always be my #1 gaming franchise.

Mario - I have grown up playing Mario just like I have Pokemon. My all-time favorite Mario game will always be Super Mario 64. I love the graphics of that game. I love how you just jump into the paintings and stuff like that. I love the different levels in that game. Even the different enemies in that game are awesome. I have to say that my favorite enemy in the game would have to be the Chain Chomp. I want to have a Chain Chomp as a pet. It would protect me from people who try to hurt me. I mean, come on, look at the size of Chain Chomp and the material it's made out of. I doubt anything would be able to penetrate a Chain Chomp.

Spyro - My #2 favorite gaming franchise is the purple dragon right here. I have always loved the original Spyro when it first came out on the Playstation. I can and will play it for hours whenever I can. That goes to show how much I love Spyro. I feel a bit of nostalgia from Spyro because I haven't played the old Spyro in ages because I don't have the game nor do I have the regular Playstation. Well I do have a Spyro game but, it's not the classic Spyro. I want to play the classic Spyro so bad that I might go crazy. I miss the classic Spyro.

Sonic - Sonic I do enjoy playing but, just not as much as either Pokemon or Spyro. Sonic I love playing cause he is a speedy little demon and nothing can catch him. I just don't have much to say for this one.

Final Fantasy - #3 favorite franchise right here. I have played many Final Fantasy games in my 23 years. I love the weird creatures that are in Final Fantasy. They are all very unique and well made by the creator of the game itself. I give the creator my full condolences to a well thought-out franchise. 

Megaman - I love this franchise as well. I have played my fair share a Megaman back in the days. Megaman is a game that never gets old. This has always kept me coming back for more because of the different weapons Megaman would get after defeating one of Dr. Wily's Mavericks. Some of the weapons he gains from those Mavericks are so awesome.

Last but not least:

Legend of Zelda - I have loved this franchise for as long as I can remember. My favorite game from this franchise, though, will always be Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I have just liked this game more than Majora's Mask for some reason. I think it's because I thought the story was better than that of Majora's Mask. Not to mention you don;t have to worry about the 3-day time period. That's what threw me off of Majora's Mask. That and the creepy moon in the sky.

This is something I find very hard to answer, because I like a lot of franchises: Kingdom Hearts, Pokémon, Final Fantasy, Sonic, Mario, Kirby, The Legend of Zelda, Rayman, Donkey Kong.
But then, Kingdom Hearts, I guess, because I'm extremely into that fandom. Axel/Lea are my favorite characters, so I can't wait to discover how his story is going to unfold in KH3. Even if I won't be able to play it (I haven't got a ps4 and it's waaaay too expensive for me to buy for a while) but I'm certainly going to watch all the cutscenes.

I'm so sad I had a similar thread but it got closed for being a dupe of this one . Anyway I like pokemon because it has been with me my whole life first platinum then I had soulsilver and I loved games like mystery dungeon and pokemon rumble (I hated the wii u one though).

11. Metriod- Basically the first non linear platformer games I played it actually makes you feel like your person is trapped on a alien world although I defintly wouldn't classify these games as horror it does give out a very creepy vibe similar to the alien movies. Not to mention the prime games are probably one  of the best first person games out there if not the best 

10. Street Fighter- sf2 was the first game I remember playing and although I have grown a little tired of the series recently it will always be on of my favorite video game series out there 

9. Star Wars Video games- Although a lot of these are either really awesome or really bad the ones that are good are some of the best video games ever made and growing up it was really fun to play these games especially kotor and battlefront 2

8.MegaMan- Classic platformers I didn't get  into these games tell a few years ago but the are really challenging and the platforming is really great 

7. Crash Bandicoot- Would have been higher on the list but the more recent games have gone down in quality but the original ones by Naughty dog and twinsanity are the most fun platformers out there not to mention crash team racing which gave a certain plumber a run for his money

6. Pokemon-  Theirs nothing more rewarding than collecting pokemon not only do you have a good single player rpg but battling your friends with your pokemon is even greater

5. Sonic- Always usually my go to game when I'm bored and I don't feel like playing anything else the sonic games (even the worst in the series is really fun) are always a good way to  escape boredom really fun  to play for anyone  new or gaming veterans. 

4. Zelda- Fun Challenging adventure games some of  the best gaming to be had hear my personal faviorite is ocarina of time but almost all  the games in this series are really great

3. Elder Scrolls-Although I have not played the first 2 games in this series Morrowind threw Skyrim is some of the best gaming to be had (Elder scrolls online is great to). Theirs so much to do in this series and it keeps you busy I don't  really have much more to say

2. Final Fantasy- Ahhhh this is another series I didn't  get into tell I was older but when I did I really enjoyed it. The gameplay in most games in this series is challenging but once you figure it out its really rewarding and has some of the best stories that would rival most fantasy books out there especially in FFX.

1. Mario- Without a doubt the best  game series out there this is the one game series I'm obsessed with and almost every game in the series  is top contender for my all time favorite game. These games were pretty much my childhood and there's nothing better and more relaxing and fun then playing threw mario which is what a game should be. 

notable mentions: Gran Theft Auto, Halo, Persona, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong Country, Mass Effect, Jak and daxter, king of fighters, devil may cry, resident evil, Kingdom Hearts, Castlevania, Streets of rage 

I have to go with Portal. Even with 2 games, they have been the best games I have played to date. Personally, Portal 2 was much stronger than the first one, but I still love both so much.

   Pokémon is first. No doubt for me, when I first played Pokémon in 4th grade because my friend who was a grade higher showed me, I had to get it. He showed me Pokémon Diamond, which was the newest one at the time. I got Pokémon Pearl and later got Platinum. I went up to Pokémon White when it came out and it's been my favorite ever since. Then again, I haven't played White 2, X/Y, or Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire because I lost my 3DS but I'm getting a new one soon. Anyway, I've played Blue (from this website, should say thanks because I wasn't around when this came out!), haven't played Gold or Silver for the fact that I already played SoulSilver, I am playing Ruby on this website , Pearl and Platinum, and White (my favorite).I do really need to catch up and I can't wait until I get my new 3DS because the first 3 games I'm buying are Pokémon White 2, X/Y, and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. I will need to decide whether X or Y and Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire, but I'll ask my brother which of the Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire he has and get the opposite (for trading purposes). There is something about Pokémon that makes me love it, but I don't know if I'll ever find out. It might be that I love free roam, or maybe it's the fact that there's so much variety in the game. People are always talking about how the Pokémon they're making now are really stupid (I do have to admit it will take me a while to remember the Pokémon in Generation VI because they all look so random and different) but they give the game variety. You never know which Pokémon you will run into. Another thing that makes the game so great is that each Pokémon has its own story. You know, like how they all came to be and what they do. Some of the stories are creepy (Cubone, Yamask, Paras to name a few...), but that's what gives the game character.

   Second would definitely be Mario, for the fact that Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario 64 were 2 of my favorite games. Not to mention when I first saw Yoshi I thought he was so cool! I have to mention Super Smash Bros. Brawl even if it isn't technically a Mario game. For some reason, I always considered it one, probably because it has Mario in every Super Smash Bros. Mario Kart Wii is also a reason I like the Mario Franchise. It was the most fun out of the Mario Karts for me and I've played almost all of them (MK 64, MK DD, MK DS, MK Wii, MK 7, and MK 8). I have played the old school Mario games such as Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 (USA), and 3 (my favorite by far!!! I don't know how they managed to come up with so much stuff in less than a year from the second one), and Super Mario World (awesome game). Some of my favorite games from their franchise (as for many obviously) are the Mario Party games. I could sit and play these for hours just because of the different mini-games. I've been playing Mario Party since I was about 6 or 7, and by Mario Party I really mean Mario Party. The first one. I've played Mario Party 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (my favorite for some reason... don't know why), 7 (didn't like this one so much), 8 (liked this one a lot), 9 (honestly didn't really like it at all. They changed it completely), and MP DS (this was one of those games you play when you're bored ).
   
   Third would be Sonic. I don't  exactly know why, the only thing I know is that I played both Sonic Adventures (Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle fir Gamecube) and when I played the first one, I fell in love with the Sonic franchise. I thought all Sonic games were like that, that's why. Sonic would probably beat Mario if that was the case, because the Sonic Adventures were the best games of the franchise in my opinion. Although, I did like Sonic Unleashed. Sonic Unleashed was a game that I thought I would hate. It looked stupid to me. Like, really, he turns into a werewolf? It sounded weird to the ear, it made me think they were running out of ideas. But then, my brother got it. I watched him play it for a little bit and I realized it was more fun than it sounded. Sonic generations was also pretty fun for me, but it was probably more fun for the people who have played every Sonic game on the market. I've played the original Sonic 1, 2, and 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, but they are pretty boring to me because they all feel the same. I had Sonic Colors but it was a game I didn't really like, I got bored with it and stopped playing after the first few levels. Lastly, Sonic Heroes. I played it at my friends house and I liked it, but it got boring after a little bit.
   
   Haha, after looking at all that I have wrote, I think the main thing that I like in games are if they are free roam. That and the memories I've had with these 3 franchises. I've had a lot happen in my life and these 3 game franchises are the 3 games I used to play with my family before all this weird stuff started happening in my life. I'm probably going to make a post in the About Me part of the board explaining exactly what has happened just in case you guys want to know a little about my background. Sorry for making you read a 1000+ word novel, and if you skipped it I don't blame you . I think I may have put myself to sleep with this whole post. Anyway, peace .

My favorite Video gaming franchise would have to be the Pokemon series because of the incredible world, all the different types of pokemon, the strategy that goes into creating the perfect team and the soundtrack each game has.

Well, my favorite franchise is Fire Emblem, because it is just a wonderful game with exciting stories and characters which you want to give a hug so much :3 Other close favorites of mine are Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy ^o^

Favorite as I've made perfectly clear throughout my history on this site is Fire Emblem. Pokemon is a close second.

My favorite is Pokémon. I played it as a young boy. I don't know why but I just like RPGs/Monster collecting games. The adventure genre is also one of my desired genre thus Mario is my second favorite.

megamanmaniac : Wow! You've certainly gotten far on this series! I've barely been able to complete some most of the levels on any megaman game. I discovered the series a couple of months ago and have never been so happy to find something before. Just when I thought I was running out of challenges...Megaman showed up to save the day. I'm just hoping that I will be able to finish as many games of his as you have!

Too many good franchises... Well, this may be a little obscure, but I've always loved everything about Wild Arms, with Wild Arms 2 being my favorite. A JRPG Western game!?! Hell yes! From the music, the story, the characters, the combat, and even all the customizing you can do in the options, things I've yet to see in any other game ever. Setting up screen savers, changing your dialogue box colors, changing the icons in your menu, to even naming all of your spells. So fun!

A tie between Pokemon and Civilization. God dang I have so much hours in Fire Red its saddening..

mega man would have to be my top one for a franchise honestly. simply because its fun to play, the stories have their own unique quality and overall it is just plain fun. and not to mention that gratification you get when you finally beat that master robot who may have been conquest for awhile...yay!

My favorite franchise are Final Fantasy, no doubt about I play too much the FF VII for kill the desert weapon and emerald weapon xD.

Then I lost more time in FF VIII, with this trading card game xD, FF IX... then I buy psp and play FF VII crisis core too much xD

      Growing up, my favorite gaming franchise was without a doubt Castlevania.  These days, as an adult my favorite franchise is probably the Grand Theft Auto Games with The Elder Scrolls series not far behind.

My favorite gaming franchise is Mega Man, but Super Smash Brothers is a close second in my favorites, as I love being competitive.

My top 10 franchises:

I think after getting through Final Fantasy 3 (DS version), 7, and 8 which I all own on top of the others I already played, Final Fantasy will make its way in the top 10 eventually. Other honorable mentions are Sonic (guy gets way too much hate) and Donkey Kong, and Kirby. 

Other favorite franchises spawned from the last decade are Rock Band, Batman Arkham, and Assassin's Creed. I'd like to try Gears of War but nobody I know has that franchise.
