In my first game review, I'm reviewing Pokémon: Crystal. Gold, Silver, and Crystal (can be linked together in some aspects) brought the second world of Pokémon into view. Jhoto, a mystical new world, had a great little addition to the menu called Pokegear. It could show the map and the radio. One other game changing thing that Nintendo brought into play is time. The game gave a day and night scenario. This allowed for cool extra evolutions from Eevee to either Umbreon (training at night) and Espeon (training during the day.) and also had different Pokémon common at different times. This added a layered effect that was sometimes interesting, but sometimes annoying, then awarding ( Umbreon!). The game really progressed from before mostly because of the step up from the original Game Boy™ to the Game Boy Color™, which has a large difference (color!). Now the categories:
Graphics: The graphics in this game are some of the best on this console, beside Super Mario Bros. The color is such an advancement from the previous Pokémon games!
Sound: The sounds are very original in the game. They also have the upbeat Pokémon touch that all of the game music from all of the Pokémon's have.
Addictiveness: Well the game automatically gives you two reasons to replay the game; there are two starter Pokémon that you couldn't ever try out without replaying. The reason for the nine is because of the only save you can use.
Story: The story is good; don't get me wrong, its just very Pokémon like. All are the same with minor tweaks.
Depth: The game has a lot to do! After beating Jhoto, you can go back to Kanto, the place you know and love.
Difficulty: The game is difficult to a point. If your Pokémon is twenty levels above the other, you can't lose.

Thank you for reading my first game review! Rate it up! I like criticism.
