I don't agree that there is "apartheid" in the Middle East and I will not be discussing it. You've made it clear though that you are anti-Israel by your comments.

Blessedj01 : I'm not Anti-Israel, I just think that it is a waste of time giving them financial support. They are one of the most powerful countries in the world. And are the Palestinians really that bad of a people? None of us in America have no idea what is going on in the Middle East. You really can't be sure if are money is going to the right places. Maybe we should help out some African countries or East Asian countries instead. I feel that they would do better with the financial aid. But then again America is going through tough economic times.

JonXMasterZZMan : They are US allies and supporting them is in your interest and it is also the obligation of an alliance. If it wasn't in the USA's interest to do so, they wouldn't do it.

I'm not commenting on how "bad" the Palestinians are. That's a red-herring debate.

Blessedj01 : Are we supporting Israel for political or religious reasons? Sometimes I think it is both. I understand if u yourself are religious and supports Israel for that  reason. In my opinion though I think we should always show sympathy towards the Palestinians too. They been through a lot also. Also hasn't America done enough damage in Middle Eastern affairs? First it was Iraq now its Syria, maybe America should stay out of the Middle East for a while.

I don't think you want to see what would happen to the world if the US had no interests in the Middle East and stopped supporting Israel.

well in europe we need help many countrys even they wealthy..so i think no..allthough usa not the biggest aid giver anyway..but i think they should help they own they not in good shape nither

pulliainenjuha : You have to look at the big picture though. No-one has the luxury of simply withdrawing into a bubble and taking care of themselves only.

pulliainenjuha : I would agree with you on that. I don't think America right now is in a state to keep supporting other countries. UN-employment is so high its not even funny. People get laid off everyday. Congress keeps spending more money for the wrong reasons, nothing is getting done in the "War on Terror", and we have gun violence and crime related problems right here.

I'm not anti-Israeli or Anti-Christian(Catholic or Protestant), but here are three questions they should ask themselves: 1. Why would you support a religion that denounces your Savior, Jesus Christ?
2. Who occupied that land first?
3. How many nuclear weapons does Israel have and how many does Palestine have?

thenumberone : You would complain about supposed extremism when you have Islamist militants who regularly strap bombs to themselves. Or attack villages full of families. You do realize there are increasingly radical segment of the arab muslim population don't you. If you're gonna make comparisons to Nazis, than do it with a group of people who actually have a full fledged racial holy war going on.

in my opinion they doesn´t need them,plus israel is a very small country with a very low populations of people the big countries or small countries over populated i think they deserve it 

thing1 : Well to be fair. All countries have debt. In fact the United States has always been in debt until one time during Andrew Jackson's Presidency (and we ended up getting into a recession, then depression after the debt was paid off).

Blessedj01 : Let me ask you this. If Israel attacks Iran and an Israel-Iranian war breaks out and Israel calls upon the United States for more aid. Should the United States support Israel when Israel was the aggresser and started the war? I should point out that in this situation, Iran never preformed an action that threatened Israel; it was an surprise attack.

It is one thing to support a nation; but its another thing to blindly support a nation.

Now as to me. Yes I believe that the United States should support Israel; but that Israel needs to take care of itself when it comes to major decisions. This question at least to me is similar to should we keep United States troops in Afghanistan just to make sure that Afghan security forces are doing their job.
