Mega Man was released for the NES ( Nintendo entertainment system) in 1988 and in Japan he was known as "Rock Man".
The story starts out where Dr Light and his assistant Dr Willy. Create 6 robots, cut-man, elec-man, fire-man, ice-man, bomb-man, and rock-man. Each robot were supposed to do industrial jobs like working in freezing cold or super hot temperatures, cutting down trees quickly, demolishing things, lifting heavy loads, and fixing electrical circuits. Then Dr. Willy betrays Dr. Light, and programs the 6 robots to obey him so he can take over the world. Dr. Light sends Mega Man to destroy Dr. Willy and his robots.
The graphics are good but can be better. The animations are okay, and the colors are vibrant but the backgrounds lack detail. The most impressive graphics on an NES Mega Man game would be on Mega Man 6 which was released in 1993.
The games sound, is nothing to get exited about. Like the graphics, the sound get better and better as you go through Mega Man 1-6.
In my opinion, this is one the most addicting Mega Man games on the NES. I've played this game over and over again, at least 7 times!
For an NES game, this game has a lot to offer. 6 robots to fight and each have their own level, and 4 Dr. Willy stages which also have their own boss stage. Each level is very detailed in design and the levels aren't similar.
When you first play this game it is hard, but after a few tries it will be easy. The toughest part of the game is not the Dr. Willy levels, its the ice-man level. So try to do that first to get it out of the way.
OVERALL RATING 8.5.
