As some of you know, the site has been under heavy strain lately. As a test, I've removed the CometChat Bar temporarily to see if that'd help with performance. It'll be put back up within a few days.

Considering the site goes about 20 times faster for me now, it's safe to say this sped up the site for me.

Even if it comes back, I'm instantly getting rid of it. I don't even use it 90% of the time, and most people know that I pay closer attention to my PM box.

Whenever I had used the Comet Chat Bar, it wouldn't load as often. Plus, Vizzed has been processing faster, since the Comet Chat Bar was temporarily removed from Vizzed.

Before

- 80% wouldn't load
- 15% delayed load
- 5% would load

After

- 4% wouldn't load
- 2% delayed load
- 94% would load

Unfortunately, I use the Comet Chat Bar 90% - 95% of the time period I am online Vizzed. The construction has assisted, much.

Well, now it loads quite faster than yesterday... I don't use the chat bar often. So, this isn't a problem for me.

I'll wait for his return, thought... Board isn't the same without the bar.

I usually have the chat bar, and I saw this. I just noticed that my chat bar was gone. Huh. I want it back... I'm used to using it. I kind of miss it now that I notice that it is gone.

Yeah it is looking like the cometchat bar was in fact slowing things down. The site still slower than what I want but not nearly as slow as it was.

Not sure what I'll be doing with the cometchat bar or how I can make it run better. I might possibly use the messenger that 123 flash chat offers.

I must say that even though I love the chat bar it has so many uses for me, the site is much faster without it. But now I have to go on chat room to have instant notifications on any problems. Before I was able to doge being called a chatter box by using the chat bar instead of using the chat room.

tRIUNE is right in saying firefox has slowed down a lot since the last update. Every site takes a long long time to load.

Good luck on getting things fixed. Glad you found the reason why the site was lagging. I know a few of my friends were having a hard time with it being so slow.
