We had two over the course of four years.   The first fire was caused when a Styrofoam tray went into the toaster, the type of toaster that has a belt you put your bread on.  Anyway the tray got caught inside and set on fire.   The second one was a trashcan fire in the bathroom, someone probably forgot to put out their weed or cigg whatever they were smoking.   I'm not sure if we had a second one that year or not it was a few years ago.

I've never had a fire when I was going to grade school. However recently at my college we had a brush fire because some idiot didn't put his cig out completely and just threw it on the ground. Luckly the fire department came and put it out.

From my memory, ever since I came into school back in Kindergarten, I have never had a fire in our school. Which leads up to nearly 12 years of no fires, which is a good record.

I actually have had a fire happen at my school.  It was just a kitchen fire, and everyone was safe, but it was soooo cold outside, and we had to wait outside like for an hour and a half.  I think it was actually snowing.  We had to go to another local school nearby so we wouldn't freeze to death.  I never knew how the kitchen fire started, but we had to bring lunches to school for like the next month after that...

In my middle school when I was in 6th grade, somebody threw their cigarette in the boy's bathroom. We had to stay outside for quite a while, when the fire department came I realized it was an actual fire.

Only last year, there were three fires in my school in the same month.

First fire, SOMEHOW the gym equipment room caught on fire. Dunno how the heck that happened.

And then the second and third time, both were in the foods room; within the same week. Oven caught on fire.

^ Somebody cooks even worse than I do.

My old school has not had a fire but it did have a gas leak that spread through out most of the school because someone damaged the pipes some how (this was the time the caretaker wanted to take of for a holiday but he was refused permission before this happened) but instead of sending me home midway through a mock test we were moved to a separate building made to move all the equipment (chairs boards and tables) 1000m then continue the test and move it all back. Apparently the room was out of the range of the gas but would you risk the live of one hundred 14 year olds based on a guess????/

Students always pulled fire alarms in high school to get out of class. I think there was one instance where the fire was technically real... it was something that went wrong in a chem lab where some students messed up heating something and it created a whole bunch of smoke that set off the alarms. Not sure if there were actual flames at any point though.

There was a fire last week in the school library. There was a moronic thrill seeker that got so bored, he lit a match on one of the books. The fire then spread, the fire alarm went off and the fire fighters came in and kill the fire. Now the school has to pay for more books because of the idiot with the need to burn things. I'm assuming that the district might make more budget cuts. They're already cutting budgets before the first day even began.

The only time there was a fire in my school happened in kindergarten. I don't remember all the details, but it wasn't some huge fire that ravaged the school or anything like that. My class was in the gym at the time, we could smell the smoke, and we were evacuated while the fire department was called in and took care of it.

There were multiple instances of the fire alarm being pulled, but I think only once was there an actual fire in my school years. It was in high school, and it was just a kitchen fire apparently, but I am not sure if it was from our cafeteria or the cooking class. I could see the latter being more probable, but with the way gossip is in school, I am surprised I did not hear who did it. We had to wait outside for a long while, but not as long as we did when we had a bomb scare once. 2 hours out on the football field's bleachers. I actually got sunburn waiting so long! I just wanted to get in my car and leave, but no one could until they declared it was safe to leave. Back then, i found it stupid, but I suppose it makes sense, even if the supposed bombers could have just set up bombs under the bleachers on us.

I've never had a fire at my school but I have had many fire drills and they were pretty annoying when it happened while I was on crutches because I had to walk down the stairs and out of the building, then walk back up, which is harder than you might think.

No. The closest that I know was when someone in our class burned a cookie. Now we can't use the microwave, but thank god I never use it.

Although I have had my load of fire drills, there was once a fire awile ago.
Back when I was living in Delaware and went to Anna P. Mote, we where in the P. E. room, and the alarm went off. I though it was a drill, but apparently it was a fire from the water fountain. I never knew how it started, but it may have been that one of the wires suddenly burst.

No, and considering that my house is my school, I would not like that to happen, because school stopping wouldn't be worth that.
