ahh no not at all sexy, big waste of time and money! I have dated people who smoke and it wouldn't necessarily put me off dating someone else who smokes but I definitely wouldn't be a fan of their smoking! 

Again, I don't think smoking cigarettes is sexy. I think this thread is inappropriate.

Local Moderators : I think this thread should be treasured or trash, either one. I recommend trashed. This thread is seriously pointless and inappropriate, at least in my opinion.

Overall, I wish to name over ten reasons of why smoking cigarettes isn't sexy. I have done that last time and it's not necessary for me to copy and paste that again.

Im a heavy smoker and I dont exactly find it sexy for a woman to smoke but when I see an attractive woman smoking, it tells me "hey, she knows shes not perfect.. shes got bad habbits too"  My wife smokes, thats actually how we met two years ago on wednesday.  We were at a PUB on Anzac day and we both went outside for a smoke and we got talking. 

I wish quitting smoking could be easier but when I see people talking like "ProGamer135"  it makes me either want to take a swing at them or have another smoke.  Forcing people to quit smoking will NEVER work. 

ProGamer135 : I find nothing wrong with the thread, the original posts asks for opinions on smoking. Just because other people may have different opinions than you doesn't make the thread inappropriate. The thread shall remain open.

As for my own personal opinions, I find it repulsive. I have dated smokers in the past, though. It smells bad, they taste bad afterwards, and they had to stay far away while smoking because I go into massive coughing fits around smoke.

gtwalq : Don't I know it. I smoke maybe one or two a day. Then, my dad had one of his ticked off moments, blew up at me, gave me a pointless hour and a half lecture, and I went out and smoked 5 cigarettes back to back. I know I should not have done 5, but I was really pissed. That whole thing that smoking can relieve stress; I do not necessarily find it to be true. I actually think it just keeps it from getting better or worse. I smoke K & G, and they are cheap as heck. I saw this girl smoking, but I stayed where I was at. She eventually came up to me, and we started talking. We are actually pretty good friends now, and I am wondering if I should ask her out. She actually smokes less than I do. She is beautiful, extremely sexy, but the thing is: smoking makes my fingers smell bad. X-X  I actually do not inhale it as most people do. I get just enough to burn the paper a little bit, while getting some smoke in my mouth, and then I blow the smoke out.

ProGamer135 : What you said, how you said it, and the way it seems it came out was just wring dude. And honestly, you just started on this site. Who cares if you have the white banner? That does mean any thing except a banner for a posting competition. It does not mean that you can act all high and mighty. When I first became RGR Staff a few weeks ago, I let it get to my head for a few, and then I chilled out. I hope you can end up doing the same. Just because you do not like people that smoke, or have an issue with them, or what ever it is that you have against us, you needed to bottle it up. There is nothing in the rules for posting that say you can not talk about smoking, and "Do you think smoking cigarettes is sexy?" has nothing to do with porn, so you were out of line there. I might be out of line here, blowing up at you, but I really think that that needed to be said.

The smell of smoke is good its like gasoline or tar, they smell good but many people disagree. If you think the smell of cigs is repulsive just wait till you smell a dirty diaper from a baby. You will be begging for a cigarette.

I smoke cigs, been smoking since I was 16 and I'm not either for or against it if someone else smokes. I can see where the sex appeal comes from, "smoking is cool" and really it is kind of a social thing. Whenever I'm around friends and I'm talking I feel the urge to light up a cigarette and because we all smoke we all light up. Personally I would much rather switch from smoking cigarettes to a hookah. Non-addictive tobacco in fruit paste, actually makes the house smell pretty good and its the same thing. Now I just find it so hard to quit, I've tried three times in the past year and since all my friends and family smoke I can't really seem to get away from it. I just need a smoke whenever I'm stressed, or really more of a habit. Wake up, need a cig, pour my coffee, need a cig, eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, I need a cig, and I can't sleep without having my cig.... That's the hardest part about quitting smoking is breaking all those other habits. That being said, not all of my gf's smoked, my last one did and we pretty much shared cigarettes and it became costly. I don't really find it offensive, just moderately annoying because people won't change their habits and they're still going to smoke around me when I want to quit.

I know a few people that find it attractive, but I'm not one of them. I understand that it helps some people to relax, and so I won't judge the people who do it. I've never been attracted to the idea of smoking, and I've never liked it when people did it around me. I grew up in a household where everyone smoked, and I used to sit on my grandmother's lap, while she smoked and listened to the radio, but I can always remember the horrid smell of smoke. I dated a girl with horrible breath, so I can say that even the breath doesn't bother me as much as the idea in the back of my mind that if I were to date a girl like that, and ended up marrying her, that she could end up dying at a young age because of smoking. My sister has smoked since she was 12, she apparently used to hide it, and now, at the age of 27, her teeth are already beginning to rot of out her mouth. I can understand the idea of people being attracted to it: It's been portrayed in movies as being something the hero would do, something that only the cool kids do, or something that should be done at all times(usually older movies, though). Some even like it because the person knows the risk and is still doing it. The addiction factor is also a bit of a turn off, so to speak. I've seen people that went a few days without smoking, and they become very irritable, which isn't exactly attractive. Some people like smoking, and that's fine with me; It's just not my cup of tea. I would prefer to only date a girl that was smoke-free, but we can't choose who we fall in love with, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see what will happen.

CronoMaster : Yeah, when some people go through nicotine withdrawals they can even experience time distortion- A withdrawal that lasts about seven minutes can feel like an hour. It puts people extremely on edge, feeling tense and horribly physically sick with flu-like symptoms- knowing the whole time that smoking one cigarette could make it all go away at any point. I can see why they are so prone to being irritable.

I KNOW smoking is NOT attractive. It's unhealthy, degrading and it is harmful for the smoker and others. Smoking can cause cancer, which can lead to the smoker being vulnerable to other cancers/diseases and damages their lungs. They can end up with a hole in their neck or worse. Their fingertips can turn yellow because of holding the cigar/cigarette. The cancer eventually leads to the shaving of their head, making them bald. Their face turns yellow and eyes pushed farther back into the sockets. Increased wrinkles, coughing, green saliva/spit and a whole mess of problems. Call that attractive? Let me reason with you some more. 

Smoking damages the teeth; ugly, yellow and rotting. Don't forget the horrible breath. Remember, don't smoke, it's bad for you, it's considered UNHOLY (in some religions, for those who are religious or follow it) and can lead to death.
Smoking IS NOT attractive. Oh, and how do I know this stuff? Some from common reasoning, others from whatever research. I DON'T SMOKE.

Annette : It makes sense. My grandmother quit cold turkey after smoking for nearly 60 years. She was already sick, so I guess she figured she might as well quit. She went through horrible states of nausea for about a week. It was pretty rough for her, but she hasn't even touched a cigarette for over seven years. Quitting must be one of the most difficult  things in life for people to do. On a side note, I don't see this topic as inappropriate personally, especially since its in the section for members ages 13 and up. It seems pretty respectful, and everyone is voicing their opinion thoughtfully.

Smoking isn't that at all. It's nasty and it kills people. Bad for your health and others; why would you even ask that question?
