The Spider-Man franchise (with Toby Maguire as Peter Parker and Spider-Man), that franchise had three movies (so far, but he's not going to be in the upcoming Spider-Man movie).
My other favorite franchise is The Batman franchise, directed by Christopher Nolan (the second time). So far there has only been 2 in this franchise (the second is upcoming) and those are 'The Dark Knight' and 'The Dark Knight Rises.'
My last favorite franchise (the last I'm listing) is the Godfather trilogy, directed by Mario Puzo (I'm not sure if he directed all of them). I'll probably be alone on this one, but I just love the Saw movies. Those are some of the most misjudged movies I have ever seen. Most people say it has no storyline when, in fact, the story line is quite genius. It's gory, yeah, but so were the old slasher films and everyone loved those. The acting is pretty good for the most part. There were a few actors who came through the films with terrible acting, but there are actors like that in every franchise. Very few franchises have the ability to last as long as this one did and still wrap everything up nicely, but this one did. Anyway, check it out if you haven't.
