Greetings, boys and girls of every age, would you like to hear a

fabulous story? A story of fairies, of princess, of fantasy? Then, let

me tell you the story of a young and mighty warrior called Link,

struggling against the dark forces of the evil lord Ganon and saving the

princess Zelda... Wait, I'm not a storyteller, I'm Laian the

Walkthrough Maker, oh well... Yes, here is the walkthrough of The Legend

of Zelda released on NES. I worked all the month on this walkthrough,

overcoming all the troubles on my way, like Link did in this game. With

my notes, my controller... and my pathetic skills (I'm kidding ^^ ), I

beat this game. So if you are ready for this, let's start the EPIC

quest. Same thing like the previous walkthrough and the typical warning

which is:

USE THIS WALKTHROUGH IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, PLEASE THANK YOU VERY MUCH ^^

CHAPTER 1: THE ITEMS
Here is a part which explains all the items you will find in the game.

-HEART recovers one life point.

-HEART CONTAINER increases your life max up by 1.

-FAIRY recovers 3 hearts (or 3 life points), a few of them living in the lakes of Hyrule can recover all your life.

-CLOCK

stops the time, preventing all the enemies on the screen from attacking

and from moving. You are also invincible. The effect is over when you go

to another screen.

-RUPIES is Hyrule’s currency. You need rupies

to buy some stuff (oh really? ), play the mini-game and pay the

people if you accidentally explode the door of their house (yes, it

happens sometimes ^^).

-LETTER  is necessary to open the medicine

shop ($3). Use it on a woman keeping this shop and all the medicine

shops will be opened.

-LIFE POTION recovers all your life and can be used once.

-SECOND

POTION it recovers all your life and can be used twice (HINT: if you

have one mouthful left, go back to a medicine shop and buy a blue

potion: you will get a red potion).

-FOOD is required for the puzzle in dungeon 7 but it can be also used as a bait to distract some enemies.

-SWORD is the first sword of the game. Weak but it’s better than nothing.

-WHITE SWORD is more powerful than the sword, at least 5 hearts are required to get this sword.

-MAGICAL SWORD is the most powerful sword, at least 12 hearts are required to get this sword.

-MAGICAL

SHIELD has nothing really magical, it’s just an upgrade for your

shield. Once you got it, you will be able to guard more attacks than the

original shield. Watch out, one kind of creature can steal this shield

if you don’t pay attention.

-BOMBS are useful to get rid of some

enemies and to crush some walls in order to discover some secrets.

Notice that you will find during your quest some merchants who will be

able to increase by 4 the number of bombs you can carry if you pay him

100 rupies.

-BOW is a ranged weapon really useful and deadly for a few creatures in the game.

-ARROWS are required to use the bow. The arrows consumes rupies to be used, one rupy per shot. Use them wisely

-WHITE ARROWS are necessary to kill Ganon when he is almost dead. It’s his weakness.

-BLUE

CANDLE has the power to create a flame which can light the dark rooms

rooms of the dungeons, hit the enemies and yourself if you are clumsy

and burn some bushes in order to reveal some secrets. Unfortunately, you

can use it once per screen.

-RED CANDLE has the same effects like the blue candle but you can create an infinite amount per screen.

-BOOMERANG comes and comes back to you, can kill some enemies or stuns

them for a short period of time and can bring you back a few items you

can’t reach.

-MAGICAL BOOMERANG is the only upgrade for the

boomerang. The magical boomerang has the power to be thrown in all the

directions whereas the boomerang can’t do that. Also, the range is

increased.

-POWER BRACELET
Description: With this item, you will be able to move

lot of things you couldn't’t move before like rocks, tombstones… Handy in

order to use the warping system (pink tiles on the world map) and

reveal some secrets.

-RECORDER has many powers when you play it.

First, a whirlwind will lead you randomly to the dungeons you beat. It's

required to open the entrance of Dungeon 7 (some secrets too) and handy

to beat easily Digdogger (notice that the song works once on this

enemy, yes it wouldn't’t be so funny after all ^^ )

-BLUE RING is

the most expensive item in this game but it’s not a stupid ring. Once

equipped, the damages taken will be cut in half. Plus, your clothes will

be blue ( so cooooooooooool ^^).

-RED RING increases your defense, cutting all the damages taken in four. Also, your clothes will become red.

-RAFT is useful outside the dungeon in order to reach the two islands on the world map, located in C-16 and E-6.

-STEPLADDER

is handy to cross the little gaps inside and outside the dungeons. You

will be able to go to the places you couldn't’t reach without that, for

example the heart container located in F-16 on the world map.

-MAGICAL

ROD has the power to hit an enemy with a shockwave. You can throw as

many shockwaves as you want. Some enemies are immune to this power

though.

-BOOK OF MAGIC adds

the flames to the attacks of the magical rod, which means that you can

hit with the shockwaves and the flames you create, but you can also

light the dark rooms in the dungeons.

-KEY... well, I think this item has no secrets for us. What does a key do? It opens a locked door, indeed.

-MAGICAL KEY opens all the locked doors.

-MAP shows you the entire dungeon (except the secret rooms).

-COMPASS shows the location of the piece of the Triforce in the dungeon.

-UNIT OF TRIFORCE

is why you have to explore all the dungeons of Hyrule (thank you,

Princess Zelda). You need the eight units of Triforce (one unit in each

dungeon) before facing the evil Ganon in his lair.

CHAPTER 2: THE WALKTHROUGH

Now, we're going to focus on the adventure. I have to tell you that

the game is not so linear, you can do any stuff you want before going in

a dungeon (getting, some secrets, buying some stuff...). However, I

will tell you sometimes what you need before making the walkthrough of

the dungeon. There are two quests in this game, really different. By the

way, I apologize, I made a world map for each quest with Paint, all the

secrets and the locations are written on them but their size is huge

(at least 400 KB doh 0_o ) that I can't insert them in this walkthrough.

If you want them, send me an e-mail and I will send you the world maps

and the instructions to read the world map correctly. Unless you know

another way to share the world maps, I can only do like that

Now about the walkthrough, I will not describe all the dungeons, they are huge and most of the room are pointless. I will only mention how to get the important items like the dungeon map, the compass, the treasure and the way to the boss (and how to beat it indeed). After all, if you want to explore all the dungeons, it's up to you.

Now, enough talk about the maps, HAVE AT YOU... errr sorry about this

quote from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, I meant have at the first

quest of the game, shall we?

QUEST 1

Well, first of all, get the sword in the cave, it would be foolish to go inside the dungeon without any weapon. Now, it's up to you if you want to buy some other stuff like some bombs (there are some secret walls, well I call that "shortcuts" to be honest), the arrows... Just take the sword, it's really important. Now, to the dungeon 1!!!

DUNGEON 1

Location: D-8

Treasure: boomerang and bow

Go west, kill the bats in the room to make a key appear. Go back to the entrance, in the room to the east, one of the skeletons has a key. Go back to the entrance and go north. Some skeletons are here to greet you. In the next room, more skeletons, a key will magically appear. There's a secret shortcut if you destroy the wall to the north with a bomb. In the room to the east, face some bats and get the compass. Another shortcut will appear if you destroy the wall to the north with a bomb. Now, go back and go west. You are trapped. If you want to go back for some reasons, just kill the bats and the sealed door will reopen. To the north, you will encounter some little blobs. The door to the west will stay

sealed unless you move the block in the center of the room. Go through the door to west once you opened it, an elder will reveal you a secret. Go back to the previous room and go to the east. Kill some little blobs and get the dungeon map in this room. Go to the north, one of the skeletons in the room has a key. In the next room to the north, you will encounter a new enemy throwing a boomerang at you. Kill them and take the key. In the room to the west, be careful, there are some spiked balls. Move the

block to the left to make some stairs appear. Down, the bow is waiting

for you (without the arrows unless you bought

them ^^ ). Go back where the dungeon map were and go to the east now. Some boomerang guys are in this room. Once they are dead, grab the last treasure of this dungeon: the boomerang. Ah shoot, one of them left his boomerang, oh well... In the next room, well... it’s quiet… Quiet? Ok The boss is roaring in the next room and a

key is all alone in the room. Wait, what the hell?! Some blue hands

appears here and there! Grab the key and open the locked door to the

north, all of that without being caught by the hands or else you will be

back to the entrance of the dungeon. You can get rid of the hand but I

suggest you to not dare such a thing with your sword and leave this room

as fast as possible. This is it: the dragon, the boss of this dungeon. Hit the head

with the sword, the bow or the bombs, well kill it, take the heart

container the dragon he dropped and the unit of Triforce.

Before starting the next dungeon, buy some bombs.

Not only for the shortcuts but because it's the only way to beat the

boss of Dungeon 2. Eight bombs (the max amount you can carry right now) are enough for this dungeon, even if you want to discover all the shortcuts. Once you are ready, go to the second dungeon.

DUNGEON 2

Location: D-13
Treasure: magical boomerang

Go east and kill some snakes for a key. To the north, more snakes to kill. Go west, get rid of all the snakes in the rooms and grab the key. Go back and go to the east. Kill the enemies and pick up the compass. There's a shortcut to the north, use a bomb to make it appear. Go back, go north and kill some boomerang guys. Go east, kill the blobs, take the map and go back (another shortcut to the north). To the north, some snakes and a key. Go to the east, kill the enemies and take the magical boomerang (another shortcut to the north. Go back, go to the north, face the two sand worms and take the key. In the room to the east, in the mess of spiked balls and bats, you will find some bombs and a shortcut to the north. Go back, go to the north, kill the snakes but don't go to the north right now. Go to the west, kill the blobs and grab the rupies. Meet the elder to the north, he will give you a precious hint. Now go back and go north. Kill the boomerang guys and take the bombs. Now, go north and face the Dodongo. Use the bombs, he enjoys that kind of food. Two bombs dropped in front of him and bye bye the Dodongo. Take the heart container and the unit of Triforce.

Now that you have five hearts, you can get the white sword located in the cave at the top of the waterfall.

DUNGEON 3

Location: H-5
Treasure: raft

Our first destination in this dungeon will be the treasure. First, move forward, killing all the creatures you will encounter on your way and getting two keys, until you reach a room with a new kind of enemy: the knights. They are annoying. You can only attack them in the back and they do some serious damages. Kill them and you will get some bombs. Go west, take the compass in the room, kill the bats and be careful with the spiked balls. In the next room to the west, you will find some knights. Go south, a welcoming committee is in the room. Notice the stairs to the east, it's where the treasure is. Kill all of them, go down and take the raft. Now, it's time to face the boss. Don't worry, map is on the way to the boss. Go back where you met the knights for the first time. Explode the wall to the east with a bomb and go through the hole made. Some knights are here. Once they are dead, go north and take the dungeon map (caution: there are some spiked balls). Go back to the previous room and go east. In the next room, try to avoid the paralyzing balls, kill the enemies and get the rupies. Now go north and face the boss of this dungeon. Use the boss against this one, the fight will be easier this way. One or two bombs it's dead. Take the heart container and the unit of the Triforce in the room to the north.

DUNGEON 4
Location: E-6
Treasure: stepladder

The first thing we will get is the compass. Go north, kill the blue imps and go east. In this maze with some blue imps, use the blue candle to light the room and grab the compass. Now, to the treasure. Go back, go north and make some progress, killing all the enemies and picking up all the key until you reach a dark room with some blue imps, some paralyzing balls and a gap. Go to the east, kill all the enemies you will encounter, in the room with the shield eaters (those enemies are annoying, they can swallow your magical shield if you have one), the slimes and the paralyzing balls, move the block to make some stairs appear. Go down and take the stepladder, handy to cross the gap. Now go back to the room with the gap and go north now. Some blue imps are here. Kill them and take the dungeon map in the dark room to the east. Destroy the wall to the north, go through the hole made, take the rupies in the secret room and destroy the wall to the east. More blue imps to kill. Move the block to the left to open the door, killing the dragon with two heads in the next room, hitting his heads multiples time until it's dead, take the heart container and the unit of Triforce in the room to the north.

DUNGEON 5

Location: A-12
Treasure: recorder

First destination: the treasure. Go to the north, kill the mummies and take the key. Destroy the wall to the west, go through the hole and kill more mummies. You will get some bombs. Destroy the wall to the west, go through and kill the knights. Go down the staircases, go to the west, kill the knights and move the block to make some stairs appear. Down, you will find the recorder. Go back to the previous room, go to the south, kill the enemies and destroy the wall to the east. Go through the hole, you come to a secret room with a merchant who can upgrade your amount of bombs for 100 rupies. Now, go back to the room with the mummies and the gap. Go to the north, kill the dodongos for some bombs, open the door to the north and grab the dungeon map. Go back to the room with the dodongos and go to the east. Now move forward, kill all the enemies, take the compass halfway and face Digdogger. Use the recorder to weaken this fiend and finish him. Don't go south, there's nothing interesting, take the heart container and the unit of Triforce.

I suggest you to buy a magical shield for the next dungeon, the main enemy is a wizard that throw some magic powers at you and only the magical shield can guard this attack. Also, pay attention in the next dungeon, there are some shield eaters.

DUNGEON 6

Location: C-3
Treasure: magical rod

The first thing we are going to get is the compass. Go to the west, kill the wizards and go to the next room. Kill the slimes and grab the compass. Now make some progress, kill the enemies until you reach a room with five rupies. Destroy the wall to the right and go through the hole. You come in a dark room with some mages and a key. South leads to the boss, go to the north first. Kill the enemies and grab the dungeon map. Go to the north, kill the mages and move the block to the left to make some stairs appear. Down, you will find the magical rod. Go to the south now, kill some blue imps and go in the next room. Kill some mages, some shield eaters then move the block to the left. A gallery will appear. In the next room, kill the slimes and the shield eaters, then go to the south. Kill some blue imps and grab a key. Carry on, kill some mages (watch out, spiked balls!), equip your bow and face Gohma to the north. One arrow in its eye and it is dead. Take the heart container and the unit of Triforce in the room to the north.

You must buy some food for the next dungeon. There's a puzzle to solve with it. Also, you can save 100 rupies in order to upgrade you max amount of bombs. The next dungeon has a merchant able to do it. To the next dungeon now. In order to make the dungeon 7 appear, use the recorder in the lake located next to the fairy.

DUNGEON 7
Location: E-3
Treasure: Red Candle

Go north, kill the boomerang guys and grab the bombs. Destroy the wall to the north, in the next room, kill the boomerang guys then got the east. One of the skeletons has the compass (that's lovely ^^ ). Go back in the previous room, go to the west, kill the Dodongos for some rupies and open the door to the north. A merchant can upgrade your max amount of bombs for 100 rupies. Go back in the room next to the one with the compass and go north. Make some progress, killing all the enemies (even a Digdogger) until you reach someone who says "Grumble, grumble". Give the food to him and go to the north. Kill the enemies and take the map. Destroy the wall to the north, there's a secret room with some rupies. Go back to the previous room, go east, kill the boomerang guys, destroy the wall to the east, in the next room, kill the boomerang guys, go down and take the red candle. Go up and destroy the wall to the right. Kill the boomerang guys for some bombs then go to the room to the east. Fight a Digdogger, go to the north, beat the dodongos, destroy the wall to the right and move the middle block to the right (be careful, there are some hands and some paralyzing balls. The gallery appeared leads to the boss. Kill the boomerang guys, destroy the wall to the east and fight the dragon of the first dungeon (again?! ). Once it's dead, take the heart container and the unit of Triforce in the next room.

DUNGEON 8
Location: G-14
Treasures: book of magic and magical key

Go to the west, face the boss of the dungeon 3 (you will get five rupies) then a group of mummies and knights in the next room. Go down and take the book of magic. Go back to the entrance and go north. Face one more time the boss of dungeon 3 for some rupies, destroy the wall to the north, kill the knights and go to the east. Kill this group of bouncing rabbits and take the compass. Go back to the previous room, go north, kill the enemies for some rupies, then go to the north one more time, kill the knights and destroy the wall to the north (notice the door to the east is opened, we will come back here later). To the north, kill the boss of the dungeon three (I know it's really original ^^ ), take the dungeon map, destroy the wall to the west, take the rupies in the secret room, go back to the previous room and go north. Kill Gohma, go east, kill the enemies, go down and pick up the magical key. Now go back where the knights were (with the statues) and go east. Kill the enemies, get the bombs and go through the gallery. Kill the bouncing rabbits, take the key, destroy the wall to the north and kill the boss of this dungeon. Take the heart container and the unit of Triforce to the north.

Kill the blobs, take the rupies, destroy the wall to the east, kill another Patra, take the map and destroy the wall to the north. Kill the enemies, destroy the wall to the north, kill some enemies, go down and take the red ring. Go back where you first met Patra, go north, you will meet an elder, go to the west, kill the enemies and use the gallery. Kill the slimes, go to the west, kill the bats for some rupies, then Patra and use the new gallery. Kill the mages, destroy the wall to the north, kill some mages, move the middle block the the right to make some stairs appear. Down, you will find the arrows. Patra is waiting for you. Get rid of him, go north and face the evil Ganon. He is invisible and the statues and the fireballs will not help you in this fight. Slash everywhere in order to hit Ganon (use his fireballs to know where he is), once he is weakened (he will turn brown and will be stoned) use the bow and a white arrow to kill him. Go now, save the princess Zelda hitting the flames.

Congratulations, you beat the first quest of The Legend of Zelda. Now, ready for the second one? Beware: this one is not so easy ^^

QUEST 2

DUNGEON 1
Location: D-8
Treasure: boomerang

Go east, kill the enemies and take the boomerang. If you destroy the wall to the north, you will be able to reach the boss using the gallery in the room. But if you want to get the compass and the map, don't go this way. Go back to the entrance, go north, kill some enemies, take the key, go north, kill the skeletons and take the compass. Go north, kill the enemies, take the bombs, go north, kill the blobs for some rupies, unlock the door to the east, kill the dodongo, go south and grab the map. Go back to the gallery now. Some hands and some paralyzing balls will bother you, kill the hands, get the key, go to the west, kill the enemies, destroy the wall to the north and kill the dragon. Take the heart container and the unit of Triforce.

DUNGEON 2
Location: D-5 (the entrance is hidden under a living statue)
Treasure: recorder

The treasure in this dungeon is really tricky. First go to the north, kill the mummies and get the key. Go north, kill the slimes, go east, kill the knights and get the compass. Now, go back, go north, kill the bats and take the key. Kill the mummies in the next room, then the bats and this giant fiend you know the thing with the four mouths, yes this thing which doesn't like bombs too ^^ ). Take the key, go to the east, then to the north, kill the blobs and get the map. Go back in the previous room, go to the south, go through the wall to the south. Yes, what a tricky trick, indeed. Go down and grab the recorder. Now go back where the compass were and destroy the wall to the east. Kill the bats, pick up the key, go south, kill the slimes, take another key, go to the south, kill the mummies for some rupies and use the gallery. Some knights will greet you, kill them for some bombs. North, kill the dragon with two heads, take the heart container and the unit of Triforce in the room to the north.

Buy some food for the next dungeon, another guy is hungry. In order to open the entrance of the dungeon 3, use the recorder.

DUNGEON 3
Location: D-13
Treasure: magical boomerang

This dungeon is not so hard, not so long. The treasure is in fact to the north of the map, in a room with lot of boomerang guys. Before getting this treasure, you will have to give some food to the guard. On the way you will get the dungeon map, some bombs and a key. Once you got the treasure, go back to the locked door to the east. Unlock it, kill the Dodongo with your bombs, take the heart container, then go south. Kill the hands, pick up the compass and move the middle block to the right. A gallery appears. Some boomerang guys are keeping the unit of Triforce. Very well, get rid of them and take the unit of Triforce.

I suggest you to save either 50 rupies or 150 rupies before going to the next dungeon. You will be forced to make a decision in this dungeon. Also buy the magical shield, you will encounter some mages (and indeed the magical shield eaters yeaaaaaahhhh ^^ )

DUNGEON 4
Location: B-12
Treasures: book of magic and raft

Go north, kill Digdogger, go to the west, kill the enemies and take the compass. Go north, kill the knights, the to the east, kill a dragon, in the next room, kill the enmies and move the first block from the left in the second row. Some staircases appear. Down, you will find the book of magic. Go up, go through the wall to the north, a merchant can upgrade your max amount of bombs for 100 rupies. Go through the wall to the west, kill the knights for some bombs, to the west, kill more knights but for a key this time, go north, kill the slimes and go to the east. Kill some enemiesand take the key, destroy the wall to the east and take the rupies in the secret room.Go back to the previous room, go north, move the block, destroy the wall to the east, kill the dodongo and go north. Kill the knights and take the map. Go back, move the block and go to the north. Kill the bats, a key will appear (unfortunately to the other side of the gap). Destroy the wall to the north and meet a greedy old man. In order to open the door to the east and make some progress you will have to make a decision: lose one heart max up or 50 rupies. Once you made your choice, go to the next room, move the left block in the middle and use the gallery appeared. Avoid the red balls (those are really vicious and will permanently stun you, unless you go and meet a fairy outside or you are hit by a blue ball), open the door, kill the Digdogger, with the recorder then whatever you want to do the final blow, take the heart container but don't take the unit of Triforce right now, go  throught the wall to the north, there's the last treasure to take. This one is important to reach the dungeon 5, yes it's the raft indeed. Kill the knights, then the dodongos and finally a group of knights and bouncing rabbits. Move the block next to the fake door (yes it's a fake door, so DON'T GO THROUGH IT) and go down to take the raft. Go back to the south and take the unit of Triforce.

DUNGEON 5
Location: E-6
Treasures: bow

Go to the north, kill the slimes then go to the west. Kill the shield eaters for some rupies, unlock the door to the south, kill some mages and use the gallery. Some mages are waiting for you, kill them, skip Gohma in the next room (you can't kill it right now with your equipment unfortunately), go to the south avoid the red balls, go down and take the bow. Go back, kill Gohma if you want (he drops a key though) and go back where the shields eaters were (with the spiked balls). Kill the blue imps and grab the dungeon map. Go north, kill some mages, then more mages and, to the east, some invisible slimes keeping the compass. In the next room, kill some mages and some shield eaters, another key is to the other side of the gap ( that's an unfortunate fortune ^^). Anyway, it's up to you to come back in this dungeon and the previous one in order to get those two keys. In the room to the east, an old friend. Offer it its favorite food: the bombs. You will get some rupies. North, some bats and another gallery. Kill the blue imps, in the next room, take are of the dragon, take the heart container and the unit of Triforce in the room to the north.

DUNGEON 6
Location: D-1 (use the power bracelet on the second tombstone from the left in the second row to open the entrance of the dungeon)
Treasures: stepladder

Go north, kill the mages and pick up the bombs. Go north, kill some mages and some shield eaters. Go west, kill the blue imps, go west, kill some mages and some shields eaters for some rupies, then take the rupies in the room to the west, move one of the block to the left, go down and take the stepladder. Go back in the previous room, open the door to the north, meet an elder who will give a hint, destroy the wall to the east, kill the shield eaters, grab the dungeon map and go through the wall to the north. Some mages and some paralyzing balls are in this room. Kill them and destroy the wall to the east. The hole made leads to the compass. Go back to the previous room. go to the north, kill the blue imps, go through the wall to the east and move the first block from the left in the second row in order to make a gallery appear. Kill the bats in the next room, then go to the east, kill the dragon for some rupies, in the next room ,avoid the red balls and move the block to the room (the one next to the door). A new gallery will appear. Kill an old friend (the same friend, yes i know he loves us ha ha ), move the block to the left if you want to go back, equip the bow and the arrows and kill Gohma (three arrows will get rid of him). Take the heart container and the unit of Triforce.

Save 50 rupies before going in the dungeon, you know what it means, right? If you don't, then save this amount of rupies, you'll see ^^

DUNGEON 7
(the candle is necessary to open the entrance of this dungeon)

Before facing the boss of the dungeon, you will have to get rid of some knights. Kill the first ones, then the others for some bombs and kill the boss of this dungeon which is a dragon with four heads. Take the heart container and the unit of Triforce.

For the next dungeon, buy some food, yes you're going to feed up a monster one more time. Also, if you want, save 100 rupies for a nice old man.

Patra is here and has the dungeon map. Kill him and take the piece of paper. Go through the wall to the west, kill the mages, go down and take the white arrows. Kill the mages, destroy the wall to the east, kill Patra and go to the east. Now, it's time to face Ganon. Use his fireballs to hit him with your sword and once he is weakened (he turns brown and is stoned), woosh a white arrow and it's over. Now, go and save Zelda in the room to the north, slashing with your sword the flames.

Congratulations, you beat the game!!!!

Ok, it's the end of the quest but not the end of the walkthrough. One or two things and this walkthrough will be finished.

CHAPTER 3: THE HEART CONTAINERS

You start the quest with three hearts. Your life will be increased each time you grab a heart container. This item is dropped by the boss in the dungeons but you can find a few of them outside. If you collect all the heart containers, you life will be up to 16 hearts. Let's do some mathematics, shall we? So we have nine dungeons. Except Ganon, all the boss in this game drop a heart container. So, that means we have 8 eight hearts containers.

So, 16-8 = 8.

Now we, start the adventure with three hearts,

So, 8-3 = 5

That means there are five heart containers left in Hyrule. But where are they?! Well that's why I did this part because it could be helpful if you want all the hearts containers of the game. So here we go!!!

QUEST 1
-In one of the two islands, use the raft to get it.
-After the shop in G-16, to the north, use the stepladder to get it.
-Burn the bush located in E-8 on the world map.
-Destroy the wall of the secret caves located in C-13 and H-12 on the world map.

QUEST 2
-In the mountain, located in A-7 on the world map, use the recorder to open the cave.
-Located in C-1 on the world map, move the second tombstone.
-Located in D-11 on the world map, in the desert, use the recorder to open the cave.
-In one of the two islands, use the raft to get it.
-After the shop in G-16, to the north, use the stepladder to get it.

Here is the location of all the secret heart containers in Hyrule. Now, let's talk about the warping stuff, shall we?

CHAPTER 4: ALL ABOUT THE WARPING
The warping feature can be activated once you have the power bracelet. The power bracelet is hidden under a statue next to a warp point and some centaurs (located in C-4 on the world map, so the bracelet is obviously located in C-5). There are four warping spot in Hyrule and once you activated one warping spot (moving the stone), the others are activated. On the world map I made, the warping spots are the pink tiles (I didn't find any other colors ha ha XP ). The warping stuff is the same for both of the quests and works like that. You enter a warp spot, you choose on of the staircases (left, middle or right) and woosh you will come to another warping spot. So, here is how to use correctly the warping stuff (use the world map I made in order to understand )

If you come from H-10, taking the stairs:
-to the left will lead you to B-14
-to the middle will lead you to C-4
-to the right will lead you to E-10

If you come from E-10, taking the stairs:

-to the left will lead you to H-10

-to the middle will lead you to B-14

-to the right will lead you to C-4

If you come from B-14, taking the stairs:

-to the left will lead you to C-4

-to the middle will lead you to E-10

-to the right will lead you to H-10

If you come from C-4, taking the stairs:

-to the left will lead you to E-10

-to the middle will lead you to H-10

-to the right will lead you to B-14

Well, this is the end of this walkthrough, I hope it has been helpful for you, guys, see you next time for another walkthrough made in Laian

Go now, save the princess Zelda hitting the flames.

Congratulations, you beat the first quest of The Legend of Zelda. Now, ready for the second one? Beware: this one is not so easy ^^

Location: G-13
Treasure: red candle

Go to the west, kill the slimes and take the compass. Go to the east, make some progress until you reach a room with some mummies, some knights and some paralyzing balls. Move the block in front of the door to make a gallery appear. Kill the bats and go to the south. Kill the enemies, move the left block in the center of the room to make some staircases appear. Go down and take the red candle. Go back where the mummies and the others enemies were, carry on, kill some enemies on your way (even Gohma), pick up the map halfway, some rupies and a key at the end of the progress. No, it's not a dead-end. Kill the bats move the block to the left. A gallery will appear. Some knights are waiting for you. Kill them or avoid them, move the block and go the east. Yes, the greedy old man is back with his dilemma. After your choice, go to the south, kill the knights and move one of the blocks to make a gallery appear.

DUNGEON 8

Location: B-10 (destroy the wall to make the entrance appear)
Treasures: magical rod and magical key

This one is a maze of galleries and will give you some troubles I suppose. First, go to the north, move the block to the left and use the gallery. Kill the boomerang guys, go through the wall to the south, kill some Dodongos then go to the south. Kill the hands and move the block to the right (the middle one), some stairs will appear. Down, you will find the magical rod. Go back where the dodongos were, kill the enemies, destroy the wall to the south, kill the enemies and grab the dungeon map. Go back to the previous room, move the first block from the left in the second row. Use the gallery, kill the snakes and make some progress until you encounter a hungry monster. Give the food to him and carry on. In the next room, you will find some bats and the compass. Carry on, take a key given by some boomerang guys until you face Digdogger. Fives rupies is your reward once it's dead, destroy the wall to the west. Kill the hands for some bombs, in the next room, kill some dodongos, then avoid the red balls, take the key and move the left block in the centero f the room. Use the gallery, kill the hands, go to the west, kill some skeletons and move one of the blocks to make some stairs appear. Down, you will find the magical key. Now go back to the previous room, go south, move the block and go to the west. Kill the snakes, go through the wall to the south, kill the enemies for some rupies, go to the east, kill some bats then some boomerang guys, they will drop some bombs. Use the gallery to go to the boss. Kill the worms, go to the south (destroy the wall with a bomb), kill the boomerang guys for some rupies, then a dragon and finally kill some hands before moving the block in front of the door to the east. The door to the west will open and a merchant will be able to upgrade your max amount of bombs for 100 rupies. Go back now, go to the north, kill the three Dodongos, take the heart container and the unit of Triforce.

DUNGEON 9
Location: A-1
Treasures: white arrows and red ring

Go to the north, then one more time to the north, kill the slimes and go through the wall to the east. kill the bats in the corridor, go through the wall to the east, kill the mages and destroy the wall to the north with a bomb. Patra is here and has the dungeon map. Kill him and take the piece of paper. Go through the wall to the west, kill the mages, go down and take the white arrows. Destroy the wall to the south and take the rupies (or kill the bats and then take the rupies if you haven't done that yet). Go back to the entrance and go to the west. Kill the blue worms for some bombs, go to the west, take care of the shields eaters, go to the west one more time and kill some blue imps for some rupies. Go to the north, kill the bats, go to the west, kill the worms for some bombs, then go to the north and destroy the wall to the east. Move the block and go to the north. Some mages will greet you, kill them and carry on. Some mages are in the next room, they keep a key. Destroy the wall to the south, kill the slimes and take the compass. Go back to the previous room, destroy the wall to the north, kill some mages, go to the east, kill some mages and some shield eaters and meet an elder to the north. Go through the wall to the west, kill the shield eaters then carry on. Some mages are in the next room, go to the north, kill Patra, go through the wall to the west and kill the worms. Move the block to the left, go down and take the red ring. Now go back where Patra was, move the block to the left and use the gallery.

Wow, incredible walkthrough. Very detailed. I wonder how you'd do on a game like Super Mario 64. X3

Incredibly detailed walkthrough dude. I could've done this myself, but I certainly would've gone into as much detail as you did. I don't think I would need your walkthrough much for anything except heart container locations. I've played both quests of the game enough to know where to find mostly everything.
I would like to see you do a walkthrough on Zelda II. =P
Anyways, good job. Hope to see more walkthroughs from you.

Well, honestly, believe me or not but I'm a bit disappointed of my work on this one. Thinking I worked so hard to make a good walkthrough, at the end it's not how I was supposed to make it because of some technical issues. Also, I wasn't really in a good mood, I was a bit depressed yesterday but I made it, even if it would be quite good and I would not be quite proud of me, for Vizzed Board and the community.

Well, I apologize, really I promised the next one will be messed up like that

NOTE: is it me or some parts of my walkthrough are, how to say, written like a poem?! 0_0

Someone70 :
Hmm that could be interesting to do a walkthrough of Super Mario 64, I will note that somewhere. I already planned the next walkthrough. Thanks for the request and glad to hear that you enjoy the walkthrough.

vizviz123:
Actually, I made two walkthroughs before this one (007- Nightfire and Gex 64: Enter the gecko). Well, the locations of the heart containers would be clearer for you if I send you my selfmade world maps, it's as you wish, man. No, I don't deny any requests, I will note Zelda 2 somewhere. The next one is already planned, it's one of my favorite games. Thanks for the request and glad you enjoyed the walkthrough

SuperGameBoy1 :
All the month for one walkthrough, this is my mission. And when the game has lot of stuff to do, you better need a schedule in order to make a walkthrough like this one. Unfortunately, I encountered some technical issues during the last minutes and that was frustrating. Plus, the day I published this walkthrough was the last day of the Tour de Vizzed and the day of all the matters. I wasn't in a good mood, I wanted to make the walkthrough the next month correctly as I planned but I did my best to publish it in time. The quality messed up a bit as you can see and that irritates me when I see the work, the effort I put in this one. Oh well, I'm glad to hear that people enjoy it though. Thanks a lot then man

megamanmaniac :
Since when is the "Oh, I never beat this game" an emergency ha ha? Where is the challenge and the fame if you don't try to beat it without the walkthrough? You should use it if you are stuck and only if you can't make any progress, man

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
