in this game,you control a christian militia,and are tasked with removing an evil force.
nope not spirits and ghouls,servants of the anti christ.these come in the joyous form of atheists,jews etc.
you can try and convert them to enjoy xmas as good christians,if they are too hatefull to change,you blow em away with tanks,machine guns, rockets etc etc,over reaction?perhaps slightly.(this is the contreversy btw).

Essentialy,you are to exterminate all non christians,what a lovely game for the holidays huh?love and devotion,with an infusion of genecidal hate.

Stuff like this annoys me. I kinda take offense at this; it's gives me the impression that the developers are making a mockery of Christianity. I'm also kinda surprised that this was even published...are there any other video games that distort other faiths (none that I know of)?

I think this is stupid to be honest. Christmas is not even Christmas any more. They should really just X over it and move on. What started as a celebration of the Lord has moved into a greed centered enterprise.

Now this game is just a mess. If this is what they truly think is happening I am pretty sorry for them.

What controversy is there? This does nothing but reinforce the beliefs some people have that say Christians are an abomination. Either these people are deliberately trying to make us look bad, or they are just looking for attention in all the wrong ways.

I stopped reading at that point. I had to think long and hard.

I am an atheist.

I personally don't like that the idea is to basically kill atheists/non-believers/etc, but I also do defend their right to free speech. However, it's possible this borders on being a hate crime. I'm not going to go in depth on it, but while it offends me, I'm not taking offense to it, if that makes sense.

That said, I'm surprised a game like this was made.

Well, as a believer, this definitely puts Christians in the wrong light. I have never ever had the intentions of even remotely harming anyone who's a non-believer. Sure, I can spread the gospel, but I would not resort to physical force just to make them do so.

I don't see what kind of "joke" this game is trying to play off of. It's one thing to set a game in the middle of the crusades or use extremists as terrorists (though that stereotype is starting to spread around too), but to use something so modern-day and so inhumane is just past absurd. I hope something is done to this game that stops it from reaching the homes of anymore families.

The next thing you know, there are going to be these extremists running around and shooting non-believers in the head. :/ Maybe not that far, but who knows where it'll go?

Uh, this game isn't a joke if it's the one I'm thinking of. It's just a really bad idea from some overly religious nuts trying to break into computer gaming while trying to "deliver" their message that everyone but christians are bad.
