What's the best thing this year you are looking forward to?

Lexatom :

I really shouldn't lay out all of my political opinions. This is an ask anything, and I will answer literally anything I can, so I will answer your question, but this one is much trickier than the average question because of the ramifications my voice can have.

I think Trump's ban is well-meaning but horribly executed. He wants to prevent terrorism in America, and while it's an inconvenient truth, halting the immigration to America, in the first few months of his presidency, is actually a great idea. Because it gives his team time to come up with a real plan, while keeping the lives of American citizens, his top priority (or should be, as president), safe.

This is where the positiveness ends though. It's torn families apart, since some foreigners travel. And they were overseas when the ban happened so suddenly. Political experts had foreseen this for months, and many were advised to get all travel done before inauguration day, but evidently, not everyone heard. Some women were torn from their children, as they were stuck outside of the US and it is good fortune that some of them have been reunited.

That makes it more of a moral issue than I think we are ready to accept. We're betting love and family above safety, and in a way, we need something to keep us safe, because I don't want terrorists in America. But I also don't want to keep outsiders out. Because that's what makes America truly great, the fact we're a cultural melting pot that exists nowhere else in the world. I know if Trump had been born 100 or so years ago, I wouldn't be an American citizen. My grandfather would still be in Poland or Russia. My grandmother would be too. I'd be a Polish citizen in all likelihood.

This is the same for many Americans. And probably you as well.

Eniitan :

Probably summer, I'll have likely finished the hardest semester of my degree, and I'll be able to truly celebrate.

Many people have noticed that you have been trying to win the Yellow jersey, besides describing yourself as a "retired poster". Do you think you'll ever participate in another TdV?

Lexatom :

You've done a good job asking interesting questions lately. Wish you were this motivated outside of TdV months...

I'm 100%, definitively retired, as a long-term poster, but I noticed, late in the month, with Zander stopping, that as long as I put in the effort, I could realistically pass Zander and win the yellow jersey (this was at a time you were DQ'd, so it was even less competition). So I set myself to investing enough time to win the yellow jersey.

I figured I'd post a few days, get above 45 (where he was at at the time I made my move) and get the record for least yellow points ever to win a jersey. Turns out, Vizzed has you to thank for my run.

Because you posted, and started threatening my yellow jersey lead, and I wasn't about to lose a jersey that I had set out to win. My problem is, when I get competitive, I don't lose. So when you post a lot, I have to post a lot to counter it. I had planned on stopping after three days, but because of your constant threat, I had to basically win the yellow jersey every day for like 9 straight days. If you have no idea how stupid that is, consider how rare it is for someone to be that dominant without outright spamming.

I don't think I'll ever be a force like I was in the first three TdVs. My time in the sun is over, and I only come out at night. I might have a streak like this in the future, if the desire to win ever gets bigger than my desire to relax, but this experience exists solely because I was given a challenge worth overcoming.

Late response, but I've been busy.

Lexatom :

Honestly, I love myself. I've come a long ways, even since the last time I've posted in this thread. I enjoy trying new things, and I'm always finding something new that draws my interest. This place has very little hold on me, and there are days where I truly believe I can just leave, no strings attached.

Probably my teeth. Least attractive thing about me.

gameforlifeforever:

Either June or February. One is ridiculously hot with no reason to wake up throughout an entire month, and the other is too cold, with no reason to wake up throughout an entire month.

Do you think we could someday see a "Leggy DLC" for this game? https://www.vizzed.com/games/virry-vr-ps4-playstation-4-102877-game

Would such DLC mean that game's only trophy? If so, what would be the requisites to obtain it?

EX Palen :

It's possible!

As for a trophy, it would be titled "A mile in Leggy's Shoes", and contrary to the name, you have to spend 365 days as Leggy in order to earn the trophy. Not in-game days, either, real-life days. The game would keep track of how many days you spend as Leggy.

Not really curious. You had your reasons, and they were probably good.

You can challenge anything you want, but you will generally fail when it comes to anything involving me, since the house always wins.

Is it sad that I just noticed this thread?

So how is your love life? Anything exciting happened lately?

Can you tell me how I'm getting one point on the yellow jersey when I'm not even competing? :V

Do you know how much I love you? :3

I've got a C in Trig and Chemistry, and a B in Biology, and B+ in English this semester. For a make or break semester, I'll take it, since it's not breaking me.

I'm tired as hell though.

Kind of, yeah, all things considered. You should know about this thread.

I mean, it exists, yeah? I can't say anything beyond ordinary has been happening though. It's life.

It's a dead TDV, until a few days ago I was top 10, and I've made like 4 posts this month.

I don't, because you don't text me anymore :V

Man, I could go on for hours about my favorite contestants, and a few stand out above the others. Here's a list of my top 10 or so, with an explanation as to why. I could have gone with any of them for my top spot, but I seriously can't choose.

Boston Rob Mariano - I don't think any explanation is needed. Outside of Sandra Diaz-Twine, he might be the most legendary player to ever play the game, and has everything that a good Survivor player and character needs. He's incredibly athletic, a threat to win any challenge he takes part in, he's socially powerful, and knows how to get the people he needs on board, and he's a smart player, strategically. I truly believe, even to this day, that Rob was robbed of winning in All-Stars (that was really his season) by a bitter jury. Even in seasons when he goes out pre-jury, he makes an impression. In Heroes vs. Villains, he started a major feud with Russell, which sparked an entire season (Redemption Island), and in Marquesas, he was one of the players that helped push the evolution of the game to where it is now.

Rob Cesternino - I don't know what it is about Robs, but Rob Cesternino still might be the best player to never win. His play in Amazon would have probably guaranteed him a win if he could have gotten to the end, and because of it, no player will ever take him far ever again. In All-Stars, he was taken out early because of his huge target, despite not being a former winner, and now, he runs a podcast, which makes his target massive, should he ever get to play again. Cesternino represented a cool type of villain that you couldn't help but root for, and if you weren't paying attention, you might not have even realized he was a villain.

Spencer Bledsoe - For a while, I stopped watching Survivor. After One World, I just had no interest in the show, and had other hobbies to consider. Then, I heard that the new season was starting, and I liked the idea of the format. Phillippines didn't sound fun, and Caramoan featured the absolute worst possible returnee cast of all time. Then they followed it up with Blood vs. Water, which just completely lost my interest. I've watched them since I missed them, but I think it's important to note just how little interest I had in the show as a result of One World, which is only really above Thailand, but Thailand gets a pass because it's retro Survivor. Spencer (along with one other character) made me love Survivor again, and as a result, I now own a buff. It's the only one I own, and I don't regret it in the slightest. His Cambodia game, for how it gets slammed, was fun to watch for me, and was definitely worth a predictable post-merge. He's such an incredibly fun player to watch, because I imagine that's how I'd be if I played too. Incredibly neurotic, full of emotion and anger, and quick to react. But a total gamebot at the same time.

Tony Vlachos - I mean, come on, you can't talk about the young lad without talking about Team TV. And his initials are telling, he was MADE for television. It's a shame he burnt out so quickly in Game Changers, because if he were here, this season wouldn't be able to breathe with all the chaos. Tony was a frustrating player, since I wanted Spencer to win Cagayan, and Tony always seemed to have 8 idols in his pocket, but he was always a complete riot to watch. I seriously hope he comes back again, even though he's said he won't.

Ozzy Lusth - Ozzy has always been one of my favorite players. He's proven multiple times that it doesn't matter how big a physical threat you are, you can still get to the end (and in Cook Islands, he almost won). Finishing 2nd, 4th, 9th, and 12th (as of the current season), Ozzy has spent more days on the island than anyone else. He's also a big part of why one of my favorite moments in Survivor happened, in Cook Islands.

Malcolm Freberg - Much like Ozzy, I just like those physical players. Unlike Ozzy, he seems to have more of a social game, and is always a more consistent threat to win. Without that stupid two tribe vote out twist this season, there's a very real possibility that he (and a few others) are still in this game. He could come back a fourth time, and totally have a chance of winning, because while he rocks challenges, he doesn't do it in a threatening way, and his charm makes up for whatever target is on his back. Incredibly entertaining and hilarious player.

JT Thomas - Despite how his reputation has irreversibly soured thanks to both Heroes vs. Villains and Game Changers, JT still played the single best game in Survivor history, and I will defend that to the grave. Other than Boston Rob in Redemption Island, I do not believe there to have ever been a winner who had so clearly won the game, in such a dominant fashion. And JT did it in a way that was so sinister, but gentlemanly. He found the perfect teammate and they weaved their way through a perilous situation (imagine, an alternate universe where Coach won Tocantins, which could well have happened, for all we know). JT could play a fourth time, and still mess up, and I'd still love him, because he makes the moves that others would be too afraid to.

Stephen Fishbach - Pretty much the same as above, except he didn't win. His story in Cambodia is one of the single most interesting arcs in Survivor history, and I love how fleshed out it left him as a character. An incredibly intelligent, cerebral player, it's no surprise that he's on my top 10.

Lex Van Den Berghe - Holy crap, this dude was so insanely fun to watch in Africa. I already knew he wasn't going to win, because I saw All-Stars first (Africa I saw a few years after the fact), but he was the star of Africa for me. And to see him have so much emotion regarding All-Stars leaves me fondly hoping for a random third appearance from him.

Rupert Boneham - I mean seriously, you have to be living on a different planet if he's not in your top 10. What a legend.

As for my least favorite though, pretty much any total weakling, 90% of the casts of Thailand and One World, and random people like Nina from Worlds Apart and any old bag (there are exceptions, but they are the most annoying arch-type).

My overall least favorite of all-time though, is probably Clay Jordan, because he's a complete piece of s***, and he made me root for Brian Heidik at the end of Thailand, even though he's a psychopath. At least Heidik has a reason to be a bad person. Clay is just a total ass hat.

Wow, that's a pretty long list of favorites, but I had actually asked you who your least favorite contestant ever was.

nvm, looks like you noticed.
