I just watched the 1st out of the series last night and my impression was that it was an an elaborate hoax for an amateur homemade movie for them to submit to movie producers.

First of all the door opening and closing could easily be done by a string. Second, the ouija board scene could have been controlled by wire-tie with a match attached to the bottom of the planchette and gasoline on the board.

I haven't seen part 2 or 3 of this movie, but as far as I can tell, this "couple" from part 1 had a good idea to make some money...

Do you think it's real or not, and why?

I do not believe in it. I have been to quite a few places that are supposedly haunted, and witnessed nothing happening. Any creaks or noises were easily explained as it being a house that has been uninhabited for a long time, so it is rickety. Anytime I have tried a ouija board with nobody else, nothing happened. The other times, I could tell who was moving it. As far as the movie, I don't believe a bit of it. Anything can be done on camera by little tricks that you don't see on screen. Also, from a religious standpoint, I don't believe in it. As a Christian person, I believe in Heaven. I don't believe that spirits are just doomed to live between some spectral plane trying to communicate with the living for eternity, or until some "unfinished business" is done.

The movie itself is not real and was most likely done exactly how you explained, Triune. The whole concept was similar to the movie "The Blair Witch Project." Fake but so convincingly real it makes one wonder.

The first and third one were the best as far as shocking scenes. The second movie was a disappointment. If and as you watch the series, you'll notice all 3 movies are backwards in time, meaning the third one was actually suppose to be the first, and the first movie the third.

I do believe in the Paranormal, and the unexplained because there have been documented experiences on film, or audio. From a scientific perspective, energy doesn't disappear...and it's that energy that's left behind by the person who passed away. This energy may cause people to have experiences, see and/or hear things paranormal.

I did not know they tried to pass this off as being real. I saw them and just thought it was an ok film with some good jump scares. I did not think that it was real but I thought it was fairly original and went on for 2 movies too long. Ok film, not a real story.

I don't recall, but I think they did say it was a movie. They never said it was true. But I haven't watched the first one in awhile so I might be wrong on that. I don't remember. Still scared me though. I thought it was a good movie.
