I still Remember the first Game I bought I was 6 and had worked at my grandparents day after day and saved every cent I could and finally I had enough so on our next trip to sandpoint ...(biggest city in 200 miles of where I used to live).... I was going to buy a game for the gameboy I had gotten from a friend so we got there and I was so extremely excited I couldn't choose but I then remembered that Pokémon red and blue and just come out the week prior oh man was I excited after I remembered that so I raced around the store looking for it and finally I found them but still which one to choose it was hard lol I probably drove my mother nuts going back and forth between which one but I finally choose blue ...(mainly cuz I like the color blue more than red lol)

so I spent probably 200 plus hours playing that game until yellow came out and then I was all over that one lol

even to this day I have the hardest time choosing which game I wish to purchase and spend way to long trying to decide but none the less that was my first game bought

my most memorable one was FFVI or FFlll (in the US) for Snes .... that was the first console game I got into hardcore I mean I had an nes and beat contra with my dad a billion times and Mario Bros was fun but FFlll was mind blowing to me the chocoboos and the blimp and the map the fighting .... just everything and that was the game that I got my gamertag from and everything like that

So Thanks A million Vizzed for Bringing back Awesome Memorable Games

my story is eerily similar to yours. the first game i bought with my own coin was pokemon blue. i played the hell out of that thing. i couldn't put it down. one of my most memorable game is a tie between FF7 and Ocarina of Time. i love today's next gen consoles but there is something missing. that sense of awe and wonder. games like braid and limbo have captured that and used it very well. the only game i think that can capture that magic is batman arkham city. the sheer scope of it looks overwhelming. really looking forward to playing it.

First game I bought for myself was Pokémon yellow (Still have it with my Game boy color) I swear I have at least 140+ hours played on that.

The first game I really remember being just awe inspiring would have to be Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Most addicting game aside from Final Fantasy 7 and 9. I had replayed it at LEAST 5 times through and made sure I got everything in the process. I couldn't even begin to know how many hours  I put into it. Final Fantasy 7/9 would be my next ones and goodness I know I spent at least 120+ hours on 7 and 90+ on 9 just doing every little thing.

Edit: I just checked out my Yellow. 143:29 is my time on it with 132 caught.

The first game I bought for myself was Contra on the original NES. Uhh I spent hours and hours trying to finish that game. Wasn't possible specially since I was only 6. But I will never forget that game!

Mine would be the first ever Video game I actually made a save file in. My brothers Pokémon Diamond. I never really played any games until I found this game and asked my brother if I could try. He said yes. And he had Literally done everything with 490 Pokémon and all. And he just let me erase it. The game itself was so nostalgic even though it was my first Pokemon.

For me, it would have to be...

Final Fantasy VI (SNES/PSX), Final Fantasy VII (PSX), and Skyrim (PS3/360/PC).

Final Fantasy VI is actually a game I admittedly didn't try until somewhat recently, and the game's story is really beautiful to me. As such it's kind of sticking to my soul. I thought XII had a good story, but this one is just making me feel like it matters somehow. It's a very nice game, one I would love to see re-released in the future with HD Graphics.

Final Fantasy VII is one of those games that's a given. Everything about it is amazing... that's why people have wanted a remake for so long. Give the people want they want Square Enix...

Skyrim. It's god. Nothing more. Nothing less.

One game Xenogears!  I played games before, but that I found ways to involve it into ever single waking and sleeping moment for a whole year!  I made great use of my study hall time getting all my home work done durring that time so I could go home and play Xenogears with my friend!  I even joined a Xenogears spacific forum and chased after the legendary "Perfect Works".  I even followed up on "Project X" Square teased us with until we realized it was FFX! >.<  (Stops her rant before it goes on for way to long!)

Then a year later I found Galerians....  Ya you see what that did to me~!

My first game was... I can't remember, I started playing before two years of age.

The game that made me the gamer I am today was my first N64 game: Zelda Ocarina of Time. I got it at 6-7 years old and only beat it when I got better, at 9 years of age. I still play it on my 3DS today (and on Vizzed, just for the challenge of different controls).

The first game I got was Rayman 2, the first game I bought was Rayman 3. Rayman's half the reason I'm here, the other part is because my mum bought a Wii for Christmas 2 yaers ago, but Rayman give me my original interest in gaming. So yeah, I went from not knowing anything about video games to liking around 10 different series, something that I would of thought was weird 4 years ago. (Don't ask me why, I couldn't honestly tell you)

The first games I really got hardcore with are Super Smash Bros. Melee for Gamecube, Rayman Advance for the GBA, and Metroid Prime. They each have a special place in my heart and made me realize that the world of gaming is really, truly awesome.

The first Sonic game on the Genesis got me into gaming and also fixed a hand problem I had as a young child. I think it was a dexterity issue that was exorcised with the holy water of a game controller. I was just 3 or 4 back then. I didn't get serious about my hobby until I got Silent Hill 2 when I was 15.  The game happened to help me through a dark time... DEPRESSION! Yes. A game about a man who searches for his dead wife in a town filled with SYMBOLISM!1337pillows!!!233141!(winner is you if you get that joke) that ended with the In Water ending for me somehow was a happy game.

I guess the game's already depressive mood and theme was more like a glimmer of hope to me. I also had my need to get into horror fulfilled, and horror is now one of my favorite things. Especially psychological horror. Silent Hill 2 ended up being the biggest influence on my art as a whole, and even increased my interest in psychology. The game hit so close to home for me even though I am just a teenager. No, I didn't murder anyone or shoot any dogs... Not even in Duck Hunt. Anyone who has likened their depressive bouts to a horrible afterlife will probably feel like the burning stairs scene was like familiar territory for them. At least I did.

To me the most memorable game would have to be Final Fantasy 7. It is my favorite and I have played it since I was about 5, I use to play it with my best friend, who I haven't seen in years. But when ever I play it I remember all to good times the two of us had.

Wow, this is a hard one. The game that probably left the biggest impression on me was Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. As my first game I probably logged on at least 1,000 hours. (I'm not kidding!) That is probably what made me the gamer I am today.

thenumberone : wow did you just started playing games Because Hitman: Blood Money is not even much of a old game They haven't release the sequel right after that one plus the game was release back in 2006 just 6 yrs ago what took you so long to enjoy games?

My first was super mario bros i thought i was going to see loads of gamers talking about it but instead they are talking about pokemon as their first. It was SMB 1 if was fun figuring out secrets in the game and every one new about it but the net wasn't around that time so the rumors about that game didn't spread.

My most Memorable game was phantasy star 4 not only was it the first retro game i ever played but it was also the first RPG i ever played(which is my favorite genre now)However i played it when i was around 5 and didn't really appreciate it for what it was worth i started playing it recently and wow...its great it has a awesome mix between fantasy and sci-fi a fun story some pretty creepy bosses (Dark force has a pretty creepy pening)The only thing that was bad was the final bosses final form...it was rather generic i mean do all JRPG's have to end on a the final boss looking humanoid after it was shown to be...something

My most memorable game... I must say that is "Duck Hunt" for the NES. I remember those days shooting at the ducks with the Zapper... Along with my dad that used to play with me, I remember the "Clay shooting" task, also... It was harder in those times...
