Overall - 3
Home Alone 2 on the NES is one of the worst games on the console. I enjoyed the movie, but this game was a complete disaster. For some reason, Nintendo loves to mess games up that is made into a movie. This game was hard and complicated because I had no idea what to do and what was I suppose to do. The form of the game is okay, but I would not call it Home Alone because the game play is definitely not closely related to the movie. I guarantee you that this game is boring and lame.
Graphics - 7
The graphics are a bit horrible. The game looks like the graphics of Mario in Super Mario Bros. It does not look anywhere good.
Sound - 6
The sound is annoying. It plays the same song over and over again in each level. The sound effects are even worse. When you slide, it sounds like the game is messing up or something. I cant stand the hearing of him sliding.
Addictiveness - 2
This game is nowhere addicting for me to play. It is not fun and I would probably not play it again.
Story - 6
It starts off as someone on the phone calling all the people who work in the hotels around town saying that there is a little kid who is using stolen credit cards. He describes him as "five feet of trouble." What a great way to describe the kid as. Then it would change the scene where the two "bad thieves" and one of the is on the phone talking to "Lefty Looie" for help to catch the kid. After the scene, you are starting to play the game. There is no heads up saying "Ready" or "Press Start." It just brings you right into the game. I am guessing that you are to find a way of getting away from everyone.
Depth - 4
The game has not much to offer. In the game, you get slices of pizzas and pepperoni-looking items that I have no idea what it does. There is not much to say about the game, it is just completely horrible.
Difficulty - 7
The game is freaking hard, like I said. First off, I understand that the enemies are people, but everyone is after you and that does not make sense, even an old lady jumping around with an umbrella. Another thing about the enemies is that some of them are moving suitcases. I do not understand that at all, but they seem to be in the game and it does not go with the game and the movie. I do not understand the point of going into a store because I seem to go in there and there seems to be nothing and I think that it is a waste of time of doing. What bothers me the most is that I try to use the elevator, but for some reason, it would not open. I hit the Up button and even jumping on the platform trying to push the button, but nothing seemed to work. This game is irritating and I cannot stand it.
Wrap Things Up...
Home Alone 2 is completely different from the first one. I would not recommend trying this game out. If you have, I feel sorry for you because this is a horrible game to play. I hope no one plays it after reading this review.
