I have before. I have had to write up an essay, or had to sit in class during recess. Though later on it's more likely that you might get half credit or minus points each day late.

It was pretty rare that I DIDN'T turn in my homework, actually. Even if I procrastinated until the last minute, about 95% of the time, I turned it in. There were a few times in high school, however, that I didn't turn something in and my grade just PLUMMETED. I never really got in trouble for it, though. =|

I hate forgetting to do homework and getting looks when you say you don't have it in class. =|

Other than that, there was no real punishment except for losing some points.

My school is so lenient, it's ridiculous! Some teachers I've had don't even take points off for late work, and there's almost never a penalty for not doing your homework besides that.

A bit. I really do not, not do my homework that often. I usually try to get it done but if it does not happen then it just does not happen. I usually don't freak out unless it is a huge grade or if I do not understand.

My teacher gives me a half the credit when I do not do my homework. So if my homework is out of 20 points and I do not bring it in the next day, my teacher brings it to a 10/20. Anyway, I never get in trouble when I do not do my homework, but it will cost me.
