Well, according to Sports Center, NFL WR Randy Moss has ended his career on retiring. Article here: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/02/sports/football/randy-moss-retires-ending-a-thrilling-and-polarizing-career.html

What is your opinion on Randy's decision?

Eh, I expected it ever since the Patriots lost the Super Bowl a couple years ago. =P
I don't mind that he retires though. =P

I always saw this as a possibility since his horrible season last year. The real surprise to me would be if he stays retired. I am really disappointed in his decision. He still has a lot left in his tank, and at 34-35 years old, Jerry Rice and Cris Carter were still having great seasons, and they themselves admitted he was the most talented football player they ever saw.

I think it is time that he has retired.  He has been in a decline the past few years, so the time was right.

I could definitely see Randy Moss coming back Mid-Season to a playoff contender in need of a Wide Receiver. Maybe even the Patriots if one of their guys get's hurt.

I'm glad to see Moss come back to the NFL. I know he still can contribute to a contending team. He still have some gas left in the tank. It's just a matter of if he can keep his head on straight in order to get through a season.

I think with the 49'ers and their coach, Moss will fit in ok and have a decent year. Especially since they picked up other nice players at the WR position and he won't have to be the primary option. I think that will help him a lot.

Local Mods : Guess who bumped the long dead thread?

austipokedude : Don't bump threads. Especially a dead thread that's been dead for almost a year. Come on.

Yeah, he had actually come out of retirement to sign with the 49ers.

Anyway, I'll close this thing up.
