Two things. Ash is still 10-years-old as stated by the narrator at the beginning of the season. He never seems to age, no matter what. Secondly, Iris calling Ash a little kid isn't old (not yet). It's what gives her a bit of her tomboyish and prideful charm.

Ash is actually 11 at least in johto he's 11...so he's probably around 13,14....

Yes it very annoying, it's even more annoying because sometimes Iris is being a "little kid" but she never admits it.

iris is probably just a couple years older than ash. she b****hes more than misty and that's saying something

Yes I do find it annoying
but it makes her more of a kid
then ash I mean i know he keeps messing
up but that doesn't mean you call him
a little kid every 5 minutes.

I don't see it as his age resetting, so Ash older now the way I choose to view the storyline, so yeah it is annoying especially with how young she looks..

Ash is older now. he has a deeper voice. and Iris is acting like a kid by calling him a kid. and yes, it's ANNOYING AS HELL!

It bugs the crap out of me. Other things that bug me:

Cilan keeps calling things delicious.

Iris thinks she's psychic.

Ash is awful at battling and type matchups.

If you watch the beginning of Pokemon Black & White or Pokemon Best Wishes the show It says that Ash is 10 years old. Ash never aged at all they are keeping Ash stay at the age of 10 for all the seasons.

For some reason I find the new generation of Pokemon Interesting (the show).

What's really annoying to me is when The first gym leader (I forgot his name) keeps calling a lot of battle styles delicious. And I do think Iris calling ash a kid is annoying I mean he's supposed to be over 15 by now. I would want to see an anime when Ash is finally grown up.

I don't really think it's all that annoying, but she could say it less often.

Hey there, you notice in some recent episodes when Iris's "such a kid" comments get fired back at her by other characters? That's an lol and possibly a relief for those who found [her comments] annoying. Or so I assume. . .

As for Cilan, remember he's a Pokemon Connoisseur (as well as a connoisseur of several other things that I wonder if he's making up or else came out of bad writing), which explains all his cooking-metaphoric criteria on battles and pokemon; so it isn't annoying at the least. (Not talking about the museum episode where his scientific-based suppositions were getting annoying, and still no one even considers if the cause of the weird things in the museum could be, in fact, a Pokemon.)

Edit: Back to Iris, wait till she finds out that Ash has been "a kid" for the last several years since he started his Pokemon journey, and that he never really "grew up" in either sense of the phrase. 0o0

I just don't knowed about that because the Black and White series did not comed to Brazil right now...
But in Portuguese it's going to be A LOT annoying because she will call him "Criançinha!"
C'mon THAT'S ANNOYING!

I do not really find it annoying as when you get down to it he is still a child. I think that it is just a long running joke in the series. Though it has ran it's course for me.
