I caught a one on emerald by hacking it where there was grass and encounters in a town then not put any Pokemon there then boom i found a missingno the weirdest thing is that it has a dex entry that says a newly discover'd Pokemon that has not been research 

I caught Missing No. On Pokémon Blue before. When you look at the Hall of fame on the pc, it's glitch looking. There's one type of Missing No. That if you catch it and it's in your pc, when you try to take the Pokémon out of you pc, the game freezes automatically.

Yeah... I've caught it. It doesn't cause a glitch if you just keep it in your party or leave it in your PC forever. But if you go through the hall of fame with it in your party or withdraw it, it'll glitch the game to being frozen.

It's kinda stupid.

What game is MissingNo for my guess is Black and White version?

I've never caught Missingo before.
However, I used the sail up the coast of Cinnabar Island trick to get hard to catch Pokemon like Scyther or Kanghaskhan.

MissingNo is a glitch Pokémon when you do the Old Man glitch, MissingNo looks like this:   Some people pernouce him Missingo, I pernounce it Missing-noh

I never have myself, I had Blue version but that was over a decade ago, plus I lost it. I meant to though, maybe I will get while playing on here, I like how it duplicates items.

No I never caught one, but I did do that to glitch the game into giving me infinite rare candies and master balls.

As far as I know, In the United States it was Red and Blue Version originally that had  MissingNo.
The main use for it was after you found it and if you managed to kill
it, the item would duplicate whichever item is in your 6th slot bag space.



I don't have an exact number since the count goes above 99. (FLY is
required for this cheat) Here is the basic way of doing this:








1. Go to Virdian city and go to the old man heading toward the forest
2. Talk to him and answer yes, he will show you how to capture one, now do it for a second time.
3. Fly to Cinnibar island or Fuchsia city after he's done showing you how
4.
When you get to Cinnibar island or Fuchsia City use a surfing Pokémon.
Cinnibar island on the right side of the island. Fuchsia city on the
south side and go to the left when surfing.
5. When you get to the islands, surf up and down the coast line, you may run into Pokémon above the level 100 mark.


6. When you find him you may either kill him and get your 6th slot
item duplicated or catch him with either a Master ball or an Ultra ball. (if you catch it, you may have glitches in your game)






My favorite thing to do with this cheat is to duplicate the master ball.



This cheat is only for Red version and Blue version. The next Pokémon
games have side bags for items( poke balls, TM's etc.) so this cheat was
not programmed into any of the other Pokémon games.

imhere : I was using Pearl version with an Action Replay with the walk through walls code. I started a new game, walked to a new trainer, and began the battle. When I threw MissingNo. out, my game immediately froze.
