Well I do this a lot where I go to post in a thread I have already posted in and it kind of annoys me. So I came up with the idea that the thread list would tell you:
"You have posted here ___ times"
This would save me a lot of time and lead to posts where you don't say the same thing twice because you did not see your first post. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? Also is my idea possible?

That would be a good idea to do. Have a number on the thread you posted so that way you can keep up what you posted. 

I've caught myself posting the same thing a few time and it does get quite annoying sometimes. So I basically look for my post to see what I've had put before making a new post on a thread, but I still like the idea though.

I do like the idea. It would be nice to add in another feature that would go along with it that would tell people how many times today they've posted in that thread.

And then the staff could view a page that grabbed all that info for any 1 person (from their profile) so we could see what threads they've been posting in the most for that day. Might be nice to enforce a 5 posts a day in a thread rule around the board. Especially considering how the VCS went last night.

If people took time to read the thread title and put a good effort into a post they will probably not forget about it. That is just my opinion on it because I don't ever forget if I made a post in a thread or not. I'm really surprised this forum doesn't already have this. Every other forum I've been on before has changed the color of the thread title or put a little icon to the left of it on threads you've posted on before. It's very useful for scanning the forum quickly and seeing where all  the threads you've been posting on are.
