Both are great. Overall ps3 has deeper games..but so does the Wii, you just have to look for them. Let us not forget Zelda Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, Metroid Prime 3, No More Heroes 1 and 2, MadWorld, Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, etc.

YourMajestyKen : Probably the Wii. The PS3 is littered with FPS's, and real gamers see the effort put into Wii games, don't get me wrong, there is a ton of shovelware on the Wii, but the other games provide good experiences and usually solid gameplay. If you say the PS3 has better games, think of the god-awful games like COD, and games the developers put no thought into other than that you shoot stuff. There are some gems like Dead Space, Infamous, and Uncharted, but honestly, gamers who play for experience and adventure would like the Wii rather "OMG I'M 1337 ON COD BRO!!11!!!!!!"

  Definitely Wii!!!! It has wayyyyyy better game then the ps3, for instance zelda skyward sword, super paper mario, super smash bros brawl, zelda twilight princess, new super mario bros, thousands of virtual console games, super mario galaxy 1 & 2 , okami, wii party, mario party 8, just dance 3, super mario strikers charged, wii sports resort, wario ware smooth moves, donkey kong country returns, mario kart wii, I have many many many MANY more awesome games for my wii!!! I can't remember the rest, but just believe me nintendo has always had all the fun games, sony SUCKS!!! PLUS wii plays GAMECUBE GAMES TOO, I LOVE SOME OF THE GAMECUBE GAMES MORE THEN SOME OF MY Wii GAMES!!! For example paper mario the thousand year door, is the best of the paper mario series!!!! I also like kiby airide, super mario sushine, sonic mega collection plus, zelda wind waker, donkey konga, mario kart super circut (witch is better then wii mario kart), and many many MANY MORE!!!!! I LOVE MY Wii!!!!!!! Wii is two systems in one!!!! PS3 has no good games, the only games it has include killing people, smoking, and racing thats ALL!!!! I LOVE Wii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wii. It's just fun! So many thing support the Wii and it's getting it's predisessor, The Wii U! (Which was named Wii 2 in 2010.) So that's a vote for the Wii! Count me for Wii!

I'm not going to be one of the people to go on and on about graphics, but I do believe that the PS3 is better simply for the games. If the Wii could host the excellent types of games that the PS3 had, then it would be held much higher in my opinion.

Of course everyone is gunna go with the PS3...But I'm going with the wii.

Cause the wii is playable for the whole family and it has classic fun games like mario.

PS3 is good, But the games for it, It's just all about First person shooters and fighting games x-x Like God of war, Call of duty, Mortal kombat

I never been a playstation fan, I have always been a Nintendo fan Ever since I got a snes and my first game ever to play was a mario ga,e Not sure if it was Super mario world or Mario bros..

I'm just not a hardcore gamer I have more fun with classic games then hardcore games

I prefer my Wii and now I'm the odd one out.. sorry If i want to play a fps I'd go on my xbox.. not a Play-Station three
besides that Nintendo didn't steal the motion control now did it

Both are very similar when you look at them.  I have both consoles but I enjoy the PS3 more. 

PS3 will always be better then the Wii

It really only depends on what you like in a game.

PS3 is a lot more widespread among the genres and games, but the characters and games themselves aren't as iconic as those among the Nintendo consoles, Nya~.

Wii is a really underpowered system, but also has really iconic characters and games in its selection, but those iconic games are all they really have, and those that aren't iconic are pretty poor in quality.

If you want a game system that you can get nostalgia from, it still depends on the stuff you like/grew up with.

PS3 offers all the PS1 classics that were very popular, and even offers some (lesser known) PS2 games for grabs.

Wii offers tons of games from multiple different systems, but that's a bit of an unfair advantage since they've been in the race much longer. They offer you pretty much everything you loved, minus the GameBoy and other portables, quite obviously.

If you just want to watch a movie sometimes, you will most likely NEED a PS3, unless you have Netflix, in which you could just use the Wii, Nya~.

If you're not good with having tons of pieces that you need to take care of, or if you just generally like the convenience of having less to take care of, then you will go with the PS3, because I know I'm not the ONLY ONE HERE who has gone through a million sensor bars for my Wii (Good thing the Deluxe Wii U came with one extra!~ ).

Anyways, honestly, I'd kind of go with the Wii 3/5ths of the time. It's honestly just a great big emulator, and an adequate one at that. It also has some good games for it surprisingly, and also has great backwards compatibility for the GameCube, which offered moderately better games (SA2B, Zelda Collection, SADX, Sonic Gems Collection, etc). The PS3 either has poor backwards compatibility, or isn't backwards compatible at all, depending when you got it, Nya~.

I will say though, the 2/5ths of the time I choose the PS3 is because I like the wider variety of good, lesser known games. Plus, there are certain exclusives for it (and Xbox) that are better than Wii exclusives, like the PS3 version of Sonic Unleashed (compared to the Wii one), and many others, Nya~.

Without a doubt I think the PS3 is better.
The game choice for PS3 is so much more vast in terms of the kind of games I like which is RPG also...
When I play a game I don't want to have a workout at the same time, I would go to the gym if that was the case lol

Thou the Wii has its up sides it isn't really for me personally.
I understand the whole getting involved with the action to make the user feel like a part of the game thing but..
After a long day of work I want to sit down and relax playing my favorite games, not jump around all over the place waving my arms about lol
So yeah PS3 for me beats Wii

PS3. I still love the Nintendo consoles, they are the best for retro gaming, but the PS3 has some appealing games too. The quality
of the games is just way too high. Mind you, i don't play Call of Duty, God of War or any kind of game that would turn me into a
Sony fan. I'm trying to make my PS3 library of games as fun as my Wii library of games. So far, i'm making some progress.

As for my PS3... I really hate the Playstation Plus idea. It's like i'm renting games for an year. And then i have to pay again in the next year
to play my games that i already have. Please Sony, learn with Nintendo. Games for 39$, nothing more fair than that. It's hard to decide which console is better, because both have good points and bad points. Just gotta live with it...

Your argument is valid. Wii gets you active... but not as active as the Kinect. So, I am going to say the PS3 beats the Wii, hands down. That, and most Wii games are not that good.

I have played both the Ps3 and Wii each stood out in its own but I prefer the Wii because it promotes physical activities unlike the Ps3 un lease you have play station move which is a waste of money if Sony wanted motion contuse they should of had when it was realesed it.

thing1 : Most Wii games are not good, but the ones that are... they usually tend to be the best games ever. It's either miss or hit with Wii games. There's no average games on the Wii, either it's bad, or awesome.
