Honestly, why even bother paying? Apart from social networks, there are many other ways to keep in contact with people, such as Email, chat rooms, texting, calling, etc. If there are several *free* alternatives, what would the purpose be?

Btw, this will never happen. Facebook is generating enough money from ads to keep the site well (VERY well).

I wouldn't and I couldn't.  The only reason I use facebook is to keep in contact with my long distance family.  I some times play their games (rather play on here or kongregate).  If they wanted me to pay I would just get emails and phone numbers and then I'd be set lol~  Anyway most all social networks are free so it would be pointless for them to start charging us users now.
