I think Kingdra is better, because Its dragon and water and only has one weakness. And plus its a good pokemon to have.

I prefer Kingdra. It's typing is better without question, and it has pretty good moves and stats. At the same time, I never really liked Altaria when I tried training one.

It really does depend on what kind of team your playing, but all in all I think that Kingdra is the better Pokemon. It has a useful typing, nice stats and a... so-so movepool.

Altaria is cool, in my third playthrough of gen, 3 which I never finished (I always had different pokemon each time, except maybe the starters) I chose swablu. It was ok, but I did indeed vote for Kingrda because I would prefer for its typing and would rather a dif flying type mix. Kingdra also looks cooler imo.
