I have a Compaq Presario with Windows Vista and I would not advise anyone to get one. It overheats very quickly, it's difficult to clean, and something related to the hardware is causing my screen to die. I've only had it for around a year or so.

I have a Window's 7 64bit. It's nice and one of my favorite features is to hold the windows button and press tab (try it if you haven't before). Keeps me entertained for hours :3

i have an HP windows vista premium 64 bit, plenty ram and backing storage, plus 3 processors so all good considering i dont really play anything that taxes it much, kinda sucks that its vista though, a few games wont work, worse than that is many old games wont work on 64 bit, very annoying!

On my desktop I have Windows Vista and on my laptop I have Windows 7. I would say Windows 7 is better as it has new features and apparently makes better use of multicore processors. I want to run Ubunta (linux basically) but heard there are problems if you don't set it up before you install windows.

On my expensive high end desktop I am building in the next month or two I am going to get windows 7 ultimate home edition (think thats what my friend called it haha) as my good friend has a copy of it he said he could install onto my system. Again I want to have a partition for Ubunta to run on it.

I got a Sony Vaio Pcv RX850 running on Windows XP SP3. I feel like, I have to upgrade the system eventually in the future. It's a little slow, but not really slow. Slow enough to make it lag for several seconds. Too bad that I can't upgrade it to Windows Vista. I been having it for about a year and a half now.
