The old cometchat chat room will be made available until we have a new chat room up. If it's abused, it will be taken down and not put back up so don't spoil it for everyone else, otherwise you'll probably get banned for a long time.

I hope people still feel motivated to donating though and the reason I haven't publicly announced this is because I still want people to be encouraged to donate. you guys are free to tell anyone about the temp chat but as I said, I just want be making it an announcement and wont be making the header link point to it.

Well I suppose this was a good decision; at first I thought about the negatives about how its not public and people will try stupid crap in there, but when you look at the positives, at least people aren't gonna go to other websites.

Also, the constant BAWWWWWing to me about how I ruined chat will stop too (hopefully).

legacyme3 : You can donate with a credit card using Paypal and I'm pretty sure you don't even need a paypal account.

I'm trying to find non credit card options, because I don't have a credit card, and don't plan on getting one (for me, it's more trouble than it's worth, I can be very bad with money)

The way I see it, if people were willing to spend their money on items that they don't use very often than why wouldn't they be willing to spend their money by donating to vizzed which is something most of us use all the time. The more donations I can get, the more money I can invest into making vizzed better

I might visit the chat to see how it is. Maybe things will have changed now that there is a threat to remove the chat for everyone rather than just being banned.

If you can find an American Express Gift Card, I know that one works. To authorize that it's your card, PayPal charges a dollar or two under a name that includes PayPal and a number code. When you check the balance online it actually shows you something similar to the chart on a credit card statement. The chart that American Express shows allows you to see the name of the charge that PayPal made. That allows you to get the code that you need to authorize the card.

I don't know if any of the other companies provide a chart like that, but they might. Being able to view something like a statement is required if you want to use it on PayPal. The whole process can take a few days because of all of their processing stuff.
