shawnfawn : Just a couple corrections for ya. Hummingbirds rarely are less than 2.5 grams (same as a penny). They usually range up to 20 grams, almost 10X the penny. And the tongue is the toughest muscle, not the strongest. Your tongue can not lift as much as your skeletal muscles (since that isn't their function), but it is much harder to tear the tongue than skeletal muscles. Lastly, goldfish have a longer memory than 3 seconds. This was tested by training goldfish to memorize underwater mazes, recognize light signals and colors, and even learn simple tricks.

I have another one. Paraponera (Bullet Ant/24 Hour Ant) is ranked as the most painful insect sting according to the Schmidt Sting Pain Index. It scores a 4.0 on the pain index, whereas a Yellow Jacket (wasp) only scores a 2.0. The pain from a single sting lasts around 24 hours (hence the nickname). Multiple stings on your hand can leave your arm paralyzed (voluntary movement) and involuntary shaking for days.

The strongest animal in the world is the dung beetle, a type of scarab which can lift upwards of eight hundred times or so its own weight over its head. That's like a human picking up a stack of monster trucks. Insects and arachnids in general are tremendously strong due to the compact build of their bodies (though I'm not sure exactly why that makes a difference).

Ladybugs and dragonflies actually help you if you have a garden in your back yard. They both eat insects that can become a nuisance. Lady bugs eat whiteflies and aphids while dragonflies eat mosquitoes.

Did you know that when you flush the toilet the water will drain down clockwise? And when you flush in the southern hemisphere it will drain counter clockwise!

Volcanic ash is the most fertle ground on the face of the earth.

the biggest star ever found is called beetle juice.

Science facts huh? Well I have a few random science facts. I apologize if they were already posted.
The largest velocity of a man riding a bicycle is 167 miles per hour.
The Great Barrier Reef is the largest living structure on Earth.
There are over 62,000 miles of blood vessels in a single human body.
Unbelievable huh? Yup. That's what I thought too.

Here is another one. The lyre bird is known as the bird that can mimic any other birds call so accurately that it even fools the species they are mimicking. But what is even cooler is that they can mimic random sounds very convincingly. For example, you can find an example of one mimicking a camera shutter, a camera with a drive motor, a car alarm, and the sounds of saws, axes, and chainsaws cutting down trees.

Another random science fact
Did you know that the anti-matter that drives the warp engines in Star Trek isn't just pure science fiction - there really is anti-matter
Physicists at the CERN (European Organisation for Nuclear Research - it does come out as CERN in French) particle-physics lab have managed to capture and store anti-matter atoms long enough to examine them in detail
The ALPHA experiment employs a positron trap to capture three hundred and nine anti-hydrogen atoms for one thousand seconds
The ALPHA team produced the anti-hydrogen atoms by merging two clouds of cold plasmas, one containing positrons and the other containing anti-protons

E= mc2 is incomplete.

E = (mc2)2 + (pc)2 is correct.

And objects aren't attracted to gravity by mass but by energy and momentum, which means light is also slightly effected my gravity.

There was one more thing about E = mc2 but I can't remember.

Also both facts related.

Most people here have heard of The Walking Dead and played or seen Resident Evil
But how many people know that there has been a case of a real zombie?
A man called Clairvius Narcisse was pronounced dead and buried in Haiti in 1962
However, 18 years later a mysterious man appeared in the village claiming to be the same man
He knew personal details that only the real Narcisse could know and family members believe he is an example of real zombie
The man claiming to be Narcisse said that he had been resurrected by a "bokor" or sorcerer who then turned him into a zombie
He also claimed to have been conscious but  paralysed  and could remember what happened while the world around him thought he was dead including being buried alive
The study of this phenomenon is known as "The Zombie Project", led by anthropologist Wade Davis

here are a few facts that I found on the  internet
black holes gravity is so powerful that the fastest thing in the universe which is light cant escape it and there's a process when something goes into black hole goes through spaghettification in which the thing gets stretch into a.. Well I don't know how to tell this one but I also have something that I think (please don't laugh at me for what I am going to say) it's that I think there's a super massive black hole in each shaped galaxy that has a circle in the center or a star that is very big.

Destifen : Your fact is wildly inaccurate and you severely misunderstood the study. First, Davis's study on 'zombification' was brutally rejected by the many scientific inaccuracies he tried to pass off. Next, Narcisse didn't live after buried for 18 years. He was constantly dosed with TTX, which causes amnesia and severe delerium. The exposure put him in a 'zombie' like cognitive state. It didn't turn him into a corpse that can only be killed by damaging the brain. Just knowing how muscle functions work discredit any possibility on zombies being remotely possible.
