Have you ever had/do you currently have an annoying commercial jingle stuck in your head? I know I have a few. For starters, I had the Burger King Kinect jingle for the kid's meal stuck in my head all last month. Right now I have the UPS logistics song in there. It can get pretty annoying. So what's yours?

"I got the late night munchies... spicy melty crunchy grilled! Oh, I got the late night munchies... the late night munchies..."

Now, don't get me wrong, I love taco bell just as much as the next person, but making a song THAT catchy has to be illegal.

Well I think I will have the LUNA or Empire songs stuck in my head forever. If you live in Chicago, or the surrounding states, or have ever seen the commercials on WGN you will know what I'm talking about.

It's been the same jingle for as long as I can remember.

sophielove23 : Well I don’t know about annoying but I often find myself on YouTube looking at old commercials and other related television from the 80s. I loved the old Mountain Dew commercials from back then although I rarely drink it. “Dew it Country Cool” was the slogan of the jingles and even now 20+ years later I find myself mumbling it from time to time.

Hands down my favorite decade… What’s sad though is more and more things today are recycled from the 80s or popular music is used for jingles. This gets under my skin more than most because as I writer I appreciate originality and I know that by corporations seeking authorization to use music from artists and particularly 80s artists. It unfortunately and likely puts a lot of jingle writers out of work.


What ever happened to originality in this world?

At least you guys get to see commercial. I don't even have cable here in Afghan. I can't really remember the last commercial I saw. It's been about 2 months.
