Hello everyone, I am spectergaj, but all you guys on the board can call me Chris. I want to become a good writer, so I've come up with the solution to improve my ability. Starting Friday, December 10, 2010, I am going to post a story from my life every Friday. I want you guys to give me feedback, suggestions, tell me of a similar story that happened to you, or tips of getting through the situation. I hope you all enjoy it!

spectergaj : I'll gladly help you out. I have gotten many compliments on for my writing and my friends ask me to help them occasionally as well. I'll favourite this to keep track.

The best advice that I give everyone is just to read out loud what you wrote slowly and clearly. You should be able to pick up mistakes and other such discrepancies from ear. Another good tip is to keep telling yourself (at least when writing an argumentative essay) is "am I making this clear in regard to my thesis, can this be better?"

Don't be afraid to make mistakes either. Sometimes new ideas work out beautifully, sometimes they fall flat. Be courageous in your written work.
