I want to know the reason why YOU chose your user name/ where the idea of it came from.
My username spectergaj came from my nick name at school. My friends used to have me do stupid things such as sign up for contests, sign in to the library, check out books, order lunch, etc. under the secret alias of Inspector Gadget. My user name is a shortened version of it.

Actually, my username did not used to be SilverMaestro , it used to be SteelMaster, but on the ________ forum, I decided to change my username to silvermaster, but I misspelled it and bam! SilverMaestro
have stuck with it ever since because I think that it is kind of catchy.

The original username came about because I like to use Steel Pokemon on my teams, so...yeah.
