You guys are making me feel awfully cheap lol. I once gave my friend all the money in my wallet (about $35) to spend on whatever his heart desired (in his case, comix). Usually though, I have something already that a person would like or I make them something or I know/overhear/remember something that they want. I'm usually fairly good with gift giving I'd say despite the little amount of money that I spend. We're mostly simple folk with simple pleasures.

I never have to worry about gifts. This year I got my mom a beautiful sterling silver ring with a pink sapphire that was at this awesome sale for $25, was originally a little more than $100. Pretty good sale if you ask me. I get her a piece of jewelry every year. That was still the most I spent on a Christmas gift, I don't usually go past $20, just small things. I actually bought someone coal before, just for fun...END.
