Treasure Math Storm was originally released for the Macintosh in the early 1990's by the Learning Company. A few years later the Learning Company released a remake version. This version is known as Treasure Math Storm PC and Treasure Math Storm Windows. It was mostly made for computers that ran on windows operating systems. Like the original the game starts off telling how the master of mischief invented a snow machine and turned Treasure Mountain into a winter wonderland. His actions caused the clocks to go haywire, the scales went out of balanced, and the crystals broke up into pieces. You as the treasure seeker can undo the master of mischief deed by collecting all the treasure on the Mountain. Once all the treasure is collected the crown jewel will thaw and the Mountain will thaw out. Click Start the game and enter your name. After that Chirp a snowbird will tell you how to play the game and give you hints. You will start off in the treasure cave this is where you will always start after going up the mountain and back down. You can head to the right to see the treasure you have collected so far in your quest. After that head left to start the first level. Chirp will explain how to try to catch elves especially those that have a candle stick as they give you cash and snowballs. Look for an elf that has a candlestick and catch them with your net. Note be sure to keep an eye on how many nets that you have. If you run low on nets you can buy some. Once you have caught the elf he will give you a math problem solve it to get the number of snowballs needed and cash. You will see snowball piles put down the number of snowballs that the elf told you to get a treasure box. You want to continue to head left. If your running low on nets you will see a store. Go into the store to buy items. Then make your way left to you come across an igloo this is the time counter. Set the time that the clock master tells you and you will get a pick. You need to solve 4 clock problems to get all 4 picks. Also, if you want to earn money you can solve problems event after getting the 4 picks. Make your way to an elf in front of the Mountain. You can now climate the mountain to get on level 2 of the Mountain. Level 2 of the Mountain This is pretty much the same as the first level. Catch an elf and solve the problem to get money and the number of snowballs. Be sure to put the correct number of snowballs down to get all the treasure. There is another store here that you can buy supplies and nets if your running low. Go into the weight station also known as the gold room. balance the scales according to the instructions. You need to do this 4 times to get all parts. Remember you can solve more problems and get cash. You will then see were the catapult is that you helped build. Get in it to go the top of the Mountain. Mountain Top Pretty much the same as the other levels. Catch an elf again to get the snowball codes. Place the correct snowballs down to get all the treasure. You will see a door guarded by a Yeti. He will not let you in until you get the code from counting the Crystals. Head into the Crystal Cave the Crystal Counter will ask you to count the crystals. Get 4 correct answers in a row. You will then get the code needed to get the door that the Yeti is guarding. He will let you in. Sometimes he may ask you to solve one of his problems. If you do you enter the castle. You will get a scene were you empty all of your treasure and an elf will give you a big box. You will then jump out of the castle and land back in the cave were you started. You will now get your first treasure and it will be displayed in the treasure room. Second Time Around Level 1 is just like before repeat the same steps as above. Solve the clock problems to get the picks needed to head up the mountain. Level 2 is just like before repeat the same steps as above to balance the scales to build the catapult. Level 3- Yep you guessed it same as before county the crystals to get the code. Dump all your treasure into the big treasure box and you will get a bigger treasure. Then its back to the bottom of the mountain. Third Time Around Pretty much the same as before for all 3 levels. However, the problems will start to become more difficult. Also the Yeti that guards the door may start asking for money to enter the palace so be ware of that. Fourth Time Around. Everything is pretty much the same here except here you have to watch out for the floating snowballs called snow bullies. If this things hit you they will cause you to drop items mostly coins. You can defeat a snow bully by ducking or using your net to capture one to defeat it. Its best to not get hit as each time you go up a level they will start to take more coins. Also you will start to notice there will be 4 snowball piles in some cases instead of 3 so pay attention. Fifth Time Around Pretty much same as the other levels collect the treasure. You will notice that the problems are increasing in difficulty. In addition, you will notice most levels now have 4 snowball piles instead of the regular 3. 6th and 7th time around. Nothing near here except the problems are more difficulty. You will start to earn more money by solving problems. Each time you come around the mountain you will start getting more coins. 8th time around- Sometimes the 8th time around can trigger multiple snow bullies. It does not always show up on the 8th time around, but be aware this is the level you could start having 2 snow bullies on each level of the mountain instead of one. Also solving problems awards you with more coins. However, if you get hit that also means you could loose more. You will make your way up the mountain several times. I want to think you will end up making 25-30 trips up the mountain. I could be off as its so easy to get caught in the game. Regardless, each level is about the same each time. The only difference is the problems get more difficulty, the snow bullies start to be able to change directions, coins are worth more, but it also costs more if you get hit. Once you collect all the treasures. The same elf that gave you the treasure after each time going up the mountain. Will tell you that all the treasures have been returned to the palace, and the crown's power has been released. You will then get the final cut scene that the crown releases its power and Treasure Mountain goes back to the way it was before the master of Mischief created a winter wonderland. The Master of Mischief will then appear in disbelief that Treasure Mountain is back to being lush. He will try to use his machine again only for him to get blasted with cold air. That is how the game ends. This is a game that is going to take a while to beat as you have to go up the mountain several times. On each level follow my guide, solve the problems, and you should be able to master this game. I hope my guide helps you. Note this walk through will also work on the MAC version too. Last year I did a guide for the MAC version, but since this is really a remake with only minor differences it should work for both versions.
