I live in Central Florida, and recently there was Hurricane Helen, and it passed over us through Tallahassee. It was very odd because despite forming in the Gulf of Mexico, it went so far East that it went through even North Carolina.

I thought that was it, but then another, Hurricane Milton! It was on course to go right through us, so we fled to some family's house out of State. Yet again, it formed from the West, two giants in a row coming from the same spot.

I've lived here for many years and I've never seen 2 hurricanes in a row on this scale. Do you guys think the theories about cloud seeding are true or not, and why do you think so? Any other discussion on the topic is also welcomed.

never forget the republicans in your state legislature voted against FEMA funding and then immediately blamed Biden/Harris for not giving them enough support

The eye of Milton went right through my town in central Florida. We stayed. A tree in my backyard landed on my fence and we lost power for about 3 days. Not too bad, all things considered. Since I work remotely, no power (and therefore no internet) was a bit of a problem. So I took my laptop to one of the hotels at Disney World and worked from the lounge there for two days.

TheFadedWarrior : DeSantis did a fantastic job handling it on his own. I lived in New York during Hurricane Sandy. It was an absolute dumpster fire. People without power for weeks. People with nowhere to live for weeks. FEMA was no help. All the while, Obama and Andrew Cuomo are on the news talking themselves up and giving motivational speeches. The response here in Florida was so much more efficient than it was in New York in 2012. No false optimism or glorified speeches, no attempts to score political points, just direct, honest information and action. Telling Floridians exactly what to expect, exactly what to do to protect themselves, and exactly what he is doing to help keep them safe and to recover as quickly as possible.
