Last year had some of the best individual episodes of TV I've ever seen. A lot of those shows are over now, or won't have new episodes until 2024, but there's some great stuff coming this year, but not nearly enough to rave about just from hearing about.

We're only 5 days away from HBO's The Last of Us, an adaptation of Naughty Dog's masterpiece flagship, and it's been getting amazing reviews before airing. Outside of Castlevania, there's been few other game adaptations that catch my eye, so I'm pretty excited for this series to succeed.

Rian Johnson's detective series Poker Face looks really interesting. The Idol, a drama about a cult starring The Weeknd, looks pretty awesome as well.

The fourth and final season of You will begin this year. It was a pretty cool show but it didn't grab my attention for long enough to stick around for season 3.

The contrived and rough around the edges Riverdale will finally put Archie Andrew's character to rest after constantly changing who they wanted him to be. Final season set to reset the series and will take place in the 1950s. The other seasons were certainly questionable to say the least, and this seems no different.

Season 4 of The Boys and its college spinoff Gen V will be coming this year, and I'm super stoked for those.

We're getting a new season of Futurama this year! I think the last season was a perfect ending, but it would be cool to see the characters in the future react to today. It's one of those shows that can always come back every couple of years and feel right at home.

I get dizzy thinking about the amount of probably awful Walking Dead spinoffs coming this year, but fans have a lot to look forward to if they stuck around through the audience manipulation and terrible plotlines to the very end.

While Bel Air got a lot of real, understandable hate for being too dark to be a remake of The Fresh Prince, I felt it stood on its own and was really tense. I just don't like how evil they made Carlton. He was like a Game of Thrones character for no good reason. Insane stuff. Hopefully season 2 remedies that because the other characters were amazing, especially Uncle Phil.

I used to watch the Masked Singer. But the last season's format was blah. I hope they go back to their original format. If they do that then that will be a good show.

I know this might be lame. But I cannot wait till my teams pregame baseball shows come back. I like the pregame shows of some of my teams. Reds Live and Cardinals Pregame Show are the better two. So I will be looking forward to that in late March.

Seeing some people say masked singer here, but I've never really been a fan of the show (or really any of those reality singing contest at all), so I'll let them have that answer.

I'm pretty excited for The Last of Us TV show that should be coming out sometime later this year. I was a really big fan of the games and the storytelling was outstanding, so I really do expect great things from the TV show. I hope they take it in the right direction, like the Witcher, and not completely mess it up by adding really weird stuff to the plot.

I'm also excited for Wolf Pack, which is a spinoff of Teen Wolf, one of the shows I have been watching a lot of recently. Hopefully they can keep the same kind of energy that teen wolf got and, even though the story will obviously be cringe and hard to watch, it'll still be entertaining and enjoyable. I know its not a show, but Teen Wolf is releasing a movie this year that I am waiting to see.

The next season of the Witcher is coming out this year, at least most people think it will be, which should be good. They've done a great job keeping the series interesting and high quality for the first two seasons so I do have really high hopes.

I'm sure some other shows will catch my eye, there is always something new that does.

Barathemos : Luckily for The Last of Us, it seems like the changes that were made were for the purpose of realism. The infected now spread through tendrils rather than spores. They said their reasoning for this is because people are much smarter about pandemics nowadays, and if they were to infect people using spores, the gas masks they used in the games would have to be used all the time, or else everybody would already have been infected already and there'd be no chance at a group of survivors.

Shocked and terrified at the Masked Singer love. I only watched a few episodes with George Clinton and last season I watched just to see Rudy Giuliani's wretched and comically horrible appearance. "I'm BAAAAD to the BONE" I couldn't stop laughing. I can't tell what was funnier, the melting hair, the Four Seasons Total Landscaping thing, or this appearance. Either way though, The Masked Singer comes off to me as one of the most disingenuous and plastic network TV show I've yet to see in a world where The Bachelor is still airing. Cool concept and it really is sick when there's mystery to who the singer is, but the entire way it's handled comes off wrong and overtly manipulative towards the audience.

The Last of Us is probably the only thing that I'm looking forward to outside of anime and other animated shows. There's no way the new season of Stranger Things comes out this year and many of the shows that I like the most have gotten canceled so there isn't much for me to look forward to.

well Zander they're still writing the new season of Stranger Things, let's just hope the Duffers keep their promise that they aren't going to introduce any new characters (they didn't keep their promise about season 4 not being set in Hawkins) I know one episode is completed though

I don’t know if it will be in July of 2023, I haven’t checked more info on it but I am intrigued on the new Twisted Metal show. I’ve grew up playing every game on the series except Twisted Metal: Small brawl and Twisted metal 2013. Small brawl I should get to it soon, but anyways.

If it is an action comedy I wonder how it would correlate to the games, like actual guns and weaponry staying true to the game or just using the likeness and names? I should probably look at more info.

There are two shows that I'm really looking forward to that have new seasons come out this week. I'm really excited for the 5th season of The Dragon Prince but I'm infinitely more excited for the comeback of Futurama.

well if it means keeping this thread going, I am looking forward to the next season of the Santa Clauses (it wasn't that bad it makes up for the Escape Clause) and to the next season of the Masked Singer of course since there isn't much to look forward to thanks to the Writers strike that's going on
