Normally I don't do the reviews for the Steam streaming platform, BUT it's not on PC here so, I'll have to compromise besides it's not like Steam changed anything

Gameplay and Story: I think I'll let the intro do the talking: Are You Ready for a challenge of a lifetime? Can you ride your bicycle the entire length of Africa a Continent three bigger than the United States? You and your teammates will dip their rear bike wheels in the Mediterranean Sea and begin a journey that will cover twelve thousand miles and last almost 300 days. You Will see Beautiful and Fascinating places, including the vast Sahara desert, you will meet extraordinary people, talk with them learn from them and experience their way of life, and of course see some of Africa's Amazing wildlife. Get too sick and/or run out of money and it's game over (okay the latter part was me but I didn't think it would be fair doing the whole intro)

Graphics: Well this is extremely different from other trail games, yes you still have to watch the redline, the game screen is light blue, and there is also Quicktime footage as well, and there's some pretty good CGI when you do the bike riding mini-game

Soundtrack: Well if I can say anything good about the game the background music is fantastic it changes at every country you stop at, you'll see when I post the gameplays

Addictive: I did give the game quite some time in the months before gaming season started in 2019 because that's when I got the game....and MayaQuest (don't worry I'm going to give that some time in the reviews)

Depth: so they have about six different trails to take between Bizerte in Tunisia (yeah it kind of feels like a random place to start but we have to dip our wheels in the Mediterranean) and Aghulas in South Africa (you can also choose to start or end your trek in Lagos, Nigera or Kenya, Nairobi) so the length of the game depends on how long your trek is. You choose three of six team mates (one of them a Mecc staffer that actually did his own trek 30 years ago normally I choose the doctor and the repairman to go with me but even they usually power down more easily than the others) There's just one problem though, you don't do much in this game, you sit and wait for your next stop to come out and once in awhile you can actually do the driving but it's not very easy, I'm not a bike rider in real life this requires serious balance, and a good chunk of the time you are monitoring your teams health or buying stuff from vendors, you actually can negotiate the price and least in this game the subject of rounding numbers is actually put to good use (if you try to bargain HALF of the asking price the vendors will make you pay full price something I learned the hard way)

Difficulty: This is a little bit more difficult than most trail games mostly because you are going during the modern era so you'll need visa's to go over the borders, I actually did the longest journey once, and just barely made it, with 39 Rand to spare. And yeah going into Zaire wasn't a fun journey because food was kind of scarce there all you could get a good chunk of the time was Eggs, Bananas and Pigeon Meat....geez what did Mobuto Sese Seko do to that country? (oh yeah and for obvious 90s related reasons we don't go to Rwanda) Also you don't die in the game or anything but your team mates can wipe out on the bikes or be too sick to continue. You can replace your teammates but that costs time and money and by the time they arrive you might be broke, and oh yeah make sure you buy the visa's before you get to the country you need the Visa's for otherwise it will again cost you time and money (yeah I don't think I missed the deadline when doing the game but I'm pretty sure you would get the standard game over screen)

Post Review follow up: sigh I hate to do this but this game gets one of my lowest scores ever mostly because I get that the developers put effort into this game by going to Africa an all that stuff but, the problem is the player doesn't get to put any serious effort in, in other words you don't really do ANYTHING aside from monitoring your teammates, buy food, fix the bike etc.

This concludes my review...oh crap tomorrow's Sunday and I haven't completed any MAME gameplays this week.....ah screw it I'll review one of the other sets of the Simpsons Arcade game because there's nothing in the review rules that says I can't, my only other option is that I do Turtles in Time but I have to play it again in it's entirety in order to do a proper review of the game
