So Jack managed to make it long enough to get the Nintendo DS treatment they held on long enough to make a swipe at the Twilight Saga, American Idol and to reference the You Don't Know Jack game show that ran for 6 episodes (an image I did get and add to the site which for some reason all I see is the thumbnail graphic

Gameplay and Story: So it's a trivia game (again) and since it's on a Nintendo DS you use the style, however when you have answer a trivia question you have to use the D-pad.

Graphics: I don't think YDKJ gets along very well with console gaming it looks kind of grainy.

Sound: well I kind of have a problem, I had to play this on a different website because DS games are not playable here (but even I'm not sure it would work great on RetroArch) and most of the dialogue sounds bad (like he talks like a ghost or something but then again I was playing this on a different website...on a computer with more space.....I'm going to keep an eye open for a copy of this game but I'm not sure it was released in Canada.

Addictive: Usually the YDKJ games are addictive but the audio quality has kind of made it a turn off for me, maybe if I find a physical copy of the game, I'll play it more and then I'll see if it's addictive.

Depth: it's longer than the 7 question tournaments but shorter than the 21 question games, but they offer something new I don't remember what it is but there's no gibberish question involved (probably would have been impossible to do. Also it seems they are riding on a format they had been using since Vol 4 (which I haven't played yet) where you do random episodes so the questions are pre-determined.

Difficulty: Well again like I have said in previous Jack reviews it depends on how well you know your pop culture and other random stuff. Another thing they actually do different is the amount of time you have left when you answer the question will determine how much money you'll have won if you answered the question correctly, otherwise you lose that amount of money if you guess wrong (so buzz in too fast)

Post Review Follow-up: Although Jack has some kind of ongoing online thing going on on a different site (not to mention an attempt at a Facebook app and a separate iPhone app and got a 25th or rather 24th anniversary re-release but I think it might be an online exclusive), I wish it would make a physical comeback. I mean I get that there are some things in the games that probably wouldn't fly today (but I do wish they made more volumes of YDKJ Movies and Television hell I wish they made one for Rock N Roll, I mean if Rock n Roll Jeopardy could be a thing (and it was, it was hosted by Jeff Probst) so could YDKJ Rock N Roll edition.

This concludes my review, join me tomorrow when I review....wait...no way....are we really doing this? are we finally going into my favorite territory where my favorite Edutainment game franchise is at oh am I ever...oh wait it's WitWiCS Treasures of Knowledge. At least I will have a lot more to talk about then.
