So this review is going to be a little bit complicated this game was originally released as as Cluefinders Math Ages 9-12, this version is the remake that was released when The Learning Company released the final two games of the series. I also played this game 20 years ago this September (the original version that is, I actually got the remake last year).

Gameplay and Story: So the opening cut scene shows the village elder opening up the vault to show off the treasures for the Harvest Festival only when they open the vault the Treasures are gone! and they were allegedly stolen by the local yeti but the Elder doesn't believe it so he calls the Cluefinders in, and they have to question the villagers about who took what and where it's hidden, and we all have to figure it out using the logic cube inside of laptrap, it uses the clue format. Eventually as the villagers make excuses for their actions they eventually say that they were forced into stealing by the yeti.

Graphics: the graphics were a bit downgraded here they made new cut scenes here to reflect the cluefinders current look, which I'm not that big a fan of (controversial opinion alert, we'll get to that when we get to 5th grade adventures) I mean at least in the cutscenes from the OG game was got to see what the foreigners motives were (The photographer wanted a new camera, the Apprentice was a dealer, the Writer was a collector, and the guide was really a pirate).

Sound: The game reuses the soundtrack from the previous version of the game so there isn't much to say about it.

Addictive: Well it kept me coming back despite my difficulties with Math .

Depth: This is shorter than the original version, in the OG you have to find at least 24 treasures, here we only have to find 16.

Difficulty: Well they made some improvements in this game at least, this time if we guess anything wrong we get a second chance to guess, because that was one of the problems I had with the original game we didn't get a second chance to guess per round, and that was one of the reasons it took forever for me to finish, also they added a feature to the ice cave I wish was in the original version, you could remove blocks (however they wouldn't count as blocks to clear).

Post-Review Follow up: The original version of this game had laptrap hit with some strange magic that would let him get some clues in the village rather than the kids questioning the villagers, also I had explained that there were major differences from the OG and the game I'm talking about here, heck the ending even changes (to a point where the culprit could have been in Mystery Mansion Arcade) Well like I said there are some things I like about the new version of the game and somethings I preferred in the original version.
