*to the tune of We're doin' a Sequel from Muppets Most Wanted" We're doin' a prequel, hey let's promote this film, let's slap this game on copies of Disney Adventures.

Yeah that's literally how I got this game, it was attached to the May 2001 issue of Disney Adventures....god I actually miss that magazine, I feel like it was shut down prematurely, like before Phineas and Ferb premiered, before the company bought Star Wars and Marvel, and god forbid the Big Frozen issue (god think of the Disney+ articles, they missed out on Justin Bieber coverage okay I'm going too far) they could have done, I still have a few copies of the magazine but sadly the May 2001 issue is no longer among them. Sadly the promotion was all for naught, Atlantis the Lost Empire bombed, and doesn't help that Shrek was released that summer as well (like a month prior) but the company (and the magazine) did a better job at promoting Lilo and Stitch through marketing and prequel strips in the magazine. Well the magazine shut down when the High School Musical franchise was at it's peak and just as Hannah Montana was the biggest thing the Disney Company had in years (though god forbid I think HM premiered after HSM) Okay I've talked enough about magazine nostalgia, let's get to the game.

Gameplay and Story: So like I said this game is actually a prequel to Atlantis the lost empire and here they are searching for the Journal. In this one Milo Thatch's Grandfather is on the front lines, we do have a couple of characters from the film that do show up in the game. The expedition is in Iceland and we gotta survive cold weather, and keepers, angry people with frozen weapons that would make Elsa roll her eyes and say "Amatuers" though the player does have a frozen weapon of their own we also have some kind of gooey stuff we can shoot at the keepers, but we would have to get close to them, the upside is it only takes one contact with the stuff to subdue them (the ice would take two contacts) you fly basically an early airplane to get to the place where the keepers are keeping the journal.

Graphics: There's actually cold opener that is hand drawn animated, and most of the rest of it is CGI but it looks so amazing.

Sound: sadly this game has no background music so it loses some points.

Addictive: I wasn't able to get it to work at first but by the time I had Windows XP I had better luck with it

Depth: There are four levels, one is out on the ice fields, the second you are flying the Whitmore Wing (it's an airplane) and then you are on foot again going through the keep and getting talisman's from the chambers in order to get the journal.

Difficulty: it took me awhile to get through the ice fields and old camp site but eventually I was able to get over those bridges and find my way around the keepers.

Post Review Follow up: Look I'm going to be honest I haven't played the game in a long time because for some reason it stopped working like no matter what I did I couldn't play, I don't know if certain aspects of the internet evolution made it not work anymore, I can't even get it to work on any of my virtual machines. I wish I could play it again.

Well this concludes my review, come back tomorrow when I review Nancy Drew Secret of Shadow Ranch oh wait tomorrow's Sunday, I've got a Summer gaming MAME-ory to do which one you ask? it wouldn't be the 90s without them.
