slight spoiler alert

I think it's time I reviewed something other than console games I have actually played in my childhood and moved on to the PC games I have played, I was actually surprised to see some Nancy Drew PC games show up on this site, so now I can branch out a bit and review something I played year round.
By the way I got this for Valentine's day 2005.

Gameplay and Story Based on the book of the same name (except Bess and George stays home and plays cards in this one) Nancy Drew is hired as an intern at Beech Hill Museum in Washington D.C. it starts with her doing some menial jobs and cleaning up after her predecessor (who will show up in a future game, see The Shattered Medallion),but after meeting everyone including the dealer that got the museum several items as well as the attache to the Mexican Consulate (who is very not okay with items from Mexico that are allegedly stolen being put on display), the museum's prized exhibit of a jade carving of King Pacal (yeah I know the name is misspelled, I think I'll talk about this more when I review Mayaquest the mystery trail) however rather than the story revolving around the jade carving we learn that there's actually a conspiracy involving other jade carvings, and the Palenque monolith that the museum has on loan, and we learn all this AFTER the museum's Epigrapher loses his memory. Personally I don't think the culprit assaulted him and caused him to lose his memory I think he was high on the cinnabar when he was on the pyramid and fell. Hey the guy from the restoration service said Cinnabar intoxication could do stuff to people (Mercury + Sulphur = Cinnabar).

Graphics: Alot has changed since the first game but I should talk about that when I talk about Treasure in the Royal Tower.

Sound: Oh man I love love love love love the soundtrack for this game it's so relaxing. But couldn't they have made their own sound effects for the garden area because that is stock sounds that are similar to what I've heard in Amazon Trail OG.

Addictive: well it definitely kept me coming back for multiple playings including in 2014 when I was reacquainting myself with the Nancy Drew games, and that's when the Nostalgic gaming cells starting growing in me.

Depth: Depending on what you are doing it can take you less than 3 hours to finish the game (the Bul game is random, wish I could play something like that in real life) This is also the first game to have a trailer for the next game as soon as you finish.

Difficulty: well in this game besides calling Bess and George for help we can....oh Hi Frank and Joe Hardy welcome to the Her interactive Nancy Drew games. Yeah Ned takes a bit of a breather here as the next several games will have Nancy writing to Ned, we don't hear from him again until Curse of Blackmoor Manor, when Bess and George and the Hardy's are unavailable. So I guess I would say, hard at first, then medium.

Overall: I'm going to be honest, I actually do like the game adaptation more than the book version of it, yeah a few years ago I actually did read the book the game was based on, and alot was changed up, in the book Nancy's not working for Joanna, and actually there's no Joanna Riggs in the book there's a John Riggs, but this isn't the first time this has happened I'll explain when I do my review for The Final Scene) And the Culprit is the same in the game as it is in the book. To be honest I don't know what my favourite game in the Nancy Drew franchise is, they all offer something fun and amazing in the game.

I'm giving this a 10.
