*SLIGHT SPOILER ALERT*

Just recently I played a couple of GEN games that were also released on SMS and well they kind of leave alot to be desired but I'll get to that when I review Sonic OG, right here, I'm going to talk about, I have played both (though SMS is on practice mode because I don't know my way around that one) right now I'm going to talk about another nostalgic favourite this time Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse.

Gameplay and Story: The game opens with Mickey and Minnie dancing around until a jealous witch named Mizrabel kidnaps Minnie why? well the opening captions explain that the witch was jealous of Minnie's beauty and popularity. Mickey arrives at the castle and runs into the one time king of said castle and he explains that Mizrabel wants to make herself as beauty as Minnie and make Minnie ugly like her. WHAT?! girl, do you have any idea how badly that would backfire on you? why would you want Mouse Ears? (yeah I imagine that if she ever succeeded in her plan she would look like Minnie alright, mouse ears and all). The king tells Mickey to find the 7 rainbow gems which would have the power to defeat Mizrabel....YEAH RIGHT when Mickey does acquire those 7 gems he doesn't use them on the witch the gems basically make a bridge that would help him cross the castle to her lair.

Graphics: oh my god the graphics are so stunning, especially on Mickey and Minnie because I feel like I really am staring at Mickey Mouse. And as for Mizrabel's attempted transformation obviously they reused the evil queen design. I love how the worlds are designed too, especially the library.

Soundtrack: I love everything about the soundtrack, it kind of sounds like something you could hear at a Disney Park, hell the music used in the Spider web level or world 1 and the swimming area in world 4 felt like I was unlocked some kind of music that was completely locked away in my mind (and it could have been the music from the film Raggedy Ann and Andy a Musical adventure but that's just my guess).

Addictive: This game definitely kept me coming back, by the end of 2002 I was able to complete this game.

Depth: the game offers 5 worlds, with the library having the most content, drop into a teacup and you're swimming and dodging Sugar Cubes. Go into a milk bottle and you enter gingerbread world, that truly is delicious and it reminds me so much of Christmas, but man the boss in that level is probably the most difficult because that dragon is so unpredictable either he stretches up or stretches to the side. If you play it in practice mode, you only have to visit 3 worlds and only one portion of each part of it and won't have to deal with any bosses, and the three gems are for the purpose of making the witch see the beauty within herself. As much as I like the ending where the castle collapses after Mickey rescues Minnie and the witch help them escape, for some reason I do prefer the practice ending.

Difficulty: Depends on how much you've played it, even I didn't make it to the first boss level right away. Also it would depend on your method of defeating the boss, if you defeat them with your butt (yeah a jump-sit routine is used here) you can defeat the boss with 5 hits, if you choose to throw stuff it might take 7 hits (unless you are on the third round no matter what you can defeat him in 5).

Overall: I love love love love love this game, it's no surprise that it got a remake (even though I haven't played it, ah well one day they'll make an emulator of that and maybe then I can play it.

Well that's my three reviews for the day, I probably won't do another one until thursday when I will have more time on my hands.

I give this review a perfect 10
