High above the Amazon, a noivern, named Tony, and his partner, a pachirisu named Kaycee, were flying above the Amazon forest, as they were headed to the Volcano called the Sangay Volcano.
Kaycee and Tony work for a news group, called PKNN, and they have been partners ever since they were young. Kaycee was always the wild and crazy one of the two, as she loved danger. She’s also a bit childish at times, and the others at the news crew call her selfish. However, she has a good heart and loves to bring a smile on people’s faces. Tony, on the other hand, is more quiet and reserved. He’s a good natured Noivern and he’s often careful and cautious. Tony has a strange ability where he can de-evolve to a noibat under certain stressful conditions. Tony can also control this ability, but he rarely uses it. Despite their differences, they’re really close friends, like siblings almost.
“Tony! Can you believe it?!” Kaycee shouted at her Noivern partner, she scampered up and down his back, excitedly. “That we’re going to a volcano? Eh… It’s a little dangerous.” Tony said, as he felt nervous flying to the Sangay Volcano.
“Oh, you weren’t scared when you got stuck in the eye in the storm!” Kaycee said, as she ran up Tony’s head and over his ears and onto his snout.
“Well… that swirling vortex kind of… sticks with you… especially in the wings…” Tony said, as he looked at his small passenger
“D’aw you loved it, ya big baby!” Kaycee said, as she saw the volcano coming into view. She grabbed onto Tony’s horns and pointed at the volcano “There it is! Tony! Get in closer! I want a close view of the volcano!” Kaycee shouted, as she pulled out her video camera.
“Wait… WHAT?! Kaycee! Lava is about 2,000°f! I’m not sure if we can handle that much heat!” Tony said, as he slowed down to warn Kaycee.
“But… Twony…” Kaycee started to baby talk. Tony couldn’t help but do as what Kaycee asked. He hated it when Kaycee started to baby talk, but he didn’t have the guts to fight with her. “Alright…. But if we get hurt, I’m putting this on your insurance, Kaycee.” Tony said, but Kaycee didn’t care. Tony got closer to the Sangay Volcano. Kaycee pointed her camera to the Volcano and started recording “This is Kaycee with PKNN News, and we’re high above the Sangay Volcano! For many years, this volcano has been dormant… however, some pokemon have said that the Volcano might erupt soon.” She said, as the volcano deeply rumbled.
Tony’s eyes widened as he heard the low rumble and muttered to himself “Then why are we here?!”

In Bismarck, North Dakota, the town was hit by a major earthquake, and one that wasn’t caused by any pokemon. Pokemon left and right scrambled as they got to safety, but there was some that couldn’t get to safety. A shiny Machoke, named Rip Rockefeller, kept a close eye at a teetering construction building, as he was worried about the pokemon there. Soon, back-up arrived, as a smallish Ho-oh with dark grey feathers, and dark purple highlights, showed up next to a jet.
The jet landed as a staraptor and a kantoian Ninetails glowed turning into their anthro forms, as they jumped onto the dark ho-oh. “Let’s go, Schatten” The Ninetails, named Wendy Waters said, as her partner, the starapator, named Ariel Flyer, held onto a harness that was on the Ho-oh.
An arcinine with blue fur and red fluff tuffs also raced out of the jet, a Raichu with dark colors, named Jake Justice, on her back smiled. “It’s go time!” He said.
Out of the Jet came the last of the team members of the their team; An infernape named Billy ‘William’ Blazes, A Midnight Lycanroc, who could change his forms at will named Rocky Canyon, and A Machamp, who can turn into either an Alohan or Kanto sandslash named Jack Hammer all raced out of the jet. “I’m glad you can make it, William.” Rip said, as he turned to the team.
William nodded as he said to his team “Alright, team, you know your assignments, Jake you and Asche are patrolling the streets.” He said to Jake and his Arcanine partner before turning to Schatten, Wendy, and Ariel. “Wendy, Ariel, I want the both of you to patrol the sky with Schatten.” He said, as Wendy, Ariel, and Jake all nodded, then the Arcanine and Ho-oh both took off into separate directions. He then looked at the others “Alright, team, let’s move.” He said, as Rip led the team to the construction building. Once they reached the building, William looked at his team. “Jack, you and Rip are coming with me, as we’re going to assist the construction workers.”
Rocky looked at William, confused “What about me, William?” He asked
“Rocky, you’re staying here, in case we need to bring any of the construction workers down.” William said, as Jack and Rip both started climbing up the building. Rocky looked away, as his ears and tail went down, and he sighed “Oh… Alright, William…” Rocky said, with disappointment.
Meanwhile, Asche was racing through the streets, as Jake was keeping an eye out for civilians when Asche barked. “Jake! I have my sights on some trouble!” Asche said. Jake looked up to see a Dewott whimpering, his eyes closed, and above him was a statue of a Celibi, which was cracked at the foundation and on the verge of falling.
“Asche, I want you to grab that civilian, I’m going to try to zap that statue away from you guys while you are running.” Jake told the arcinine. Asche nodded, as she ran to the scared dewot, Jake jumped off of Asche and used thunderbolt on the Celibi statue. The bolt hit the statue, causing it to fall away from Asche and Dewot that was in her mouth. Asche gently placed the Dewot down, and soon the Dewot slowly opened his eyes, to see the friendly miscolored arcinine looking at him. Asche smiled at the Dewot as Jake ran to Dewot and Asche. “Good work, Asche.” Jake praised the Arcanine. Asche wagged her tail, as Jake got onto Asche’s back and looked at the Dewot and nodded, in a friendly way.
Wendy and Ariel rode on the majestic dark Ho-oh, as they searched for any danger, until Schatten cawed in a worrisome way. “What is it, Schatten?” Ariel asked. Wendy saw what Schatten was seeing and said “Ariel, look! On the construction building!”
On one of beams was a bright pink Gurdur, holding on for dear life, as she tried not to let go of the beam. She tried to climb on, but the beam tilted, causing her to slip off the beam and fall. Thankfully, she didn’t have to fall far, as she landed on the back of Schatten. The Gurdur looked around, a bit confused, as Wendy and Ariel looked behind them to see the scared Gurdur. “Don’t worry, we won’t let you down.” Wendy said, with a smile.
William, Jack, and Rip quickly climbed up the building, but Jack stopped as he used Strength on the building and the latter. “This might not be much, but it’ll buy us a few seconds.” Jack said. William looked at Jack as he nodded, Rip continued climbing up the ladder of the building, to a crane operation box. A worried timbur peaked over from a platform and said, waving his arms “I’m up here! But I can’t find my brother” He said. William and Jack looked up as they nodded and quickly climbed to the platform where the worried timbur. “Don’t worry, my partner will find your brother. But first, I’m going to get you down.” William said, as he placed a harness on the timbur. He then looked at Jack, as he spoke in his headset. “Rocky, Jack, I’m heading down.” William said, as Jack nodded, climbing up the ladder a bit to get a birds-eye view. Just then, an earthquake hit, startling everyone.
“Woah!” Rocky said, on the ground. A light blue Riolu, wearing medic scrubs, ran up to Rocky. “I got here as fast as I could.” He said, softly. Rocky looked over at the Riolu, named Matt Medic, and nodded.
“Rocky, we’re coming down.” William said, over the headset. Rocky and Matt both ran to where William and the timbur were coming down from, as he replied to William in the headset “Copy that!”
The timbur was first lowered down, on a rope that was placed on the Timbur’s harness. After the Timbur was lowered, Matt and Rocky helped the timbur out of the harness. William soon followed after the timbur by climbing down the rope the timbur was on. Thankfully, William was a skilled climber, as an infernape. Once William was on the ground, he helped Rocky and Matt get the timbur to safety. Just in time for an aftershock to hit.
Jack looked around, on the highest level of the unfinished building, as he tried to see the other timbur, during the aftershock, when he notices a wooden beam that a timber usually caries.
“Rip!” Jack spoke into a radio communicator “I found the timbur, can you swing the crane my way?” He asked. Thankfully, Rip was ahead of Jack as he swung the crane neck over to Jack, in the operator box. Jack ran after the metal beam that was on the crane as he jumped to the beam, grabbing onto the beam. “Ye-haw!” Jack shouted. As Rip moved the crane to where Jack saw the Timber’s limber. Jack let go of the beam and landed on the platform where he saw the timbur’s limber. Jack saw the unconscious timbur and ran up to it. “Let’s get you to safety, your brother is waiting for you.” He said, as Jack carefully picked up the timbur and hefted the 2’ pokemon over his shoulder.
A loud groan from the building alerted Jack, as the aftershock had weakened the building. “I think it’s better if you’re not conscious for this part.” Jack told the unconscious timbur, as he ran towards the edge of the building, he spoke into his headset, “Wendy, Ariel, I’ll need an airlift from the unfinished construction building.” He told the two women, over the headsets.
Jack took a leap of faith as the dark ho-oh flew under him and caught him on her back. Wendy and Ariel looked back at Jack, as the anthro Ninetails winked “Sorry we took so long, we had a passenger we had to drop off.”
Jack laughed. “And now you got two extras.”
At the operator’s box, Rip could feel the aftershock. The crane suddenly buckled, causing the shiny Machoke to lurch forward. “Woah! I’m going down!” Rip shouted, into the headset.
William and Rocky both looked towards the crane as Rocky pulled out a grappling gun. “I got this one covered!” He said, as a claw launched out of the gun. The grapple wrapped itself around a girder.
Rip stepped out of the operator’s box and grabbed onto the rope as he slid down it. William saw the incoming Machoke and helped Rocky cushion Rip’s fall. Rip soon slammed into the men, and all three fell onto the hard pavement. Rocky winced in pain as he said “Now I know what it’s like to step in front of a moving train… and not die.”
William noticed the crane falling towards them, as he shouted at Rip and Rocky. “LET’S GO!”
All three men took off, getting as far away as possible. As soon as the crane fell, a cloud of dust covered the men like a blanket. The sky team and Jack saw the dust as they communicated to the ground team. “William? Rip? Rocky?!” Jack asked.
The dust settled revealing the three men to be okay. This was a huge sigh of relief for Jack and the women. Schatten landed next to the fallen crane as Wendy, Ariel and Jack got off, Jack still holding the unconscious timbur. Matt walked up to the team to take the unconscious timbur to the nearby mobile hospital.
William looked at his watch as he said, with a sigh “All this before 9 AM… Let’s hope this is the most excitement we get today.”
He team nodded, as they went back to the Hyper-jet.

Tony carefully circled around the hot volcano, his entire body was barely trembling over the fear of the volcano erupting. Kaycee kept recording the volcano, as she spoke. “If this volcano erupts, it could equal to ten million tons of dynamite.”
“…Well… Jeez… That makes me feel better…” Tony muttered under his breath. Just then, Tony and Kaycee heard a loud rumble, as Kaycee lowered her video camera. “Tony?” Kaycee asked, concerned. “What was that rumbling noise?”
“Oh no!” Tony shouted, as he got ready to fly off. “Kaycee! The volcano is going to erupt! Get in my mouth for cover!” Tony shouted, as he opened his mouth. Kaycee cut out the video and scurried into Tony’s mouth, as the giant noivern quickly flew away from the volcano, just as it had erupted. Tony swiftly dodged the hurdling rocks that the volcano threw at him.
After thinking he was safe, Tony turned around to look at the volcano when a bolder hit his wing and badly damaged it. Soon, the noivern went down, crashing into the volcano, and blacked out upon impact.
