The entire
Video Game Characters section of the site has finally been migrated to the "new site code"
https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/characters.php
Better Browsing
Previously, when you browsed through game characters, all that was presented was the character's name and so that made it almost a chore to seek through the list of characters. Now the list of characters provides an image and some additional details including franchise name, 1st game appearance, and game count.
Character Search
The old page had no search features, making it difficult and time consuming to find stuff. The new page lets you search for characters based on Character Name, Franchise Name and so much more. You can also order the results now too.
Better Character Profiles
The character pages are a lot easier to look at, and browsing through the screenshots that a character is tagged in is so much better now.
In the left column, you'll have all of the character's details, a list of all the games the character is in (in alphabetical order) and an image of the character. The images were all grabbed using a scr
ipt I put together but it's not perfect so staff and character profile admins can change a character's image from the new 'Character Manager' page.
If you added a character or requested to have a character added, you'll always have admin powers to that character's page.
In the right column, you'll have every screenshot that the character was tagged in. The screenshots are displayed in order of its game's release date. This is cool because it kinda gives you a history for that character.
Here's an example of a character page:

Upgraded Screenshots on All Pages
The screenshot browsing scr
ipt that I use for many sections of the site (including the game pages, character profiles, etc) has been slightly upgraded. I fixed most of the bugs it had and also enhanced the cosmetics of it so that it's more appealing and easier to use.
Considering how many character pages are on the site, this was the only big feature not migrated to the new site code. In my Google Webmaster Tools, for a long time now it has been telling me about 1000s of pages on Vizzed that need to be fixed and made mobile friendly, and pretty much all of those pages were part of the Video Game Character feature. Glad to finally have that done, and I know some users really like the character features on this site. For those who don't know, when you add screenshots to the site, you're given the option to tag characters in the screenshot and that screenshot will then appear on the character's profile.
