Has anyone ever done the 100,000 step challenge or considered doing it?

This is something that I debated doing since around a month ago. Ive always used a health app that shows me how much I walk but I got a fitbit a couple weeks ago that tels me steps and everything, so the 100,000 step challenge has been on my mind lately.

I walk a lot, just this month I’ve walked more than 20,000 steps in a day 10 times, which is a lot. So I figured I might as well give it a shot one day.

What about you?

I may have actually broken it during the first decade of the 2000s, as I did a lot of walking by then (or more accurately, trekking). Smartphones were still being birthed and not many apps or gadgets were out, so I couldn't properly measure it, but I'm confident I did it.

I'm fully sure I can do it if I set myself for it. I've done 20k steps in a single day a few times already depending on what I do, and while such an immense amount in the city doesn't sound feasible I may some day venture into the woods or something like that for a good walking.

However, if I do such thing it will be by my own decision and not because of challenges or anything spurred by social media, no matter how healthy it is. I could do it for a good cause too, but those tend to be a bit overcrowded and currently I can't afford attending any meeting because it's already crowded enough in the public transport.

I don't think I would be able to handle a 100000 Steps. I already tried walking about 9 or 10 Kilometers, and I don't know how many Steps that is. By the end of that, I couldn't feel my legs anymore for at least 3 hours.

I plan on doing this sometime soon, the only problem is that it would obviously take more than 16 hours, but I've been slowly walking more and more. Two Sundays ago was the first time that I ever walked 30,000 steps in a day, but it was mostly because I was on the treadmill for 2 hours non stop. But then just 5 days later, on Friday, I walked 30,000 steps again and the next day I walked 40,000 steps.

So I walked 70,000 steps in just under 2 days, so I think I might be able to push for 100,000 in a day at some point this year, I would just need to plan way ahead for a day where I can get up at like 2 AM and not do anything else. Plus I would need to buy a ton of water, like 6-8 full water bottles.

Man, I don't know how many steps I take a day. I guess maybe I'll start counting. With everything I do, I know I walk a lot! That's just doing my daily routine of errands and chores. I'll have to keep a count. Who knows, I may not walk as much as I think I do. It just feels like it.
