I'm back with another review, and I can't believe I'm reviewing another game of the Nekopara franchise. Even though I already have a copy of Nekopara Vol. 0 in one way or another (Nekopara Vol. 0 is included with the Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions of Nekopara Vol. 1), I still decided to get the PC version, and yes, just like the original game, I got Nekopara Vol. 0 just to have something else to review. Is this going to be my last review of a Nekopara game? Who knows, but anyway. Nekopara Vol. 0 is a prequel of the series, and the events of this game take place before Nekopara Vol. 1 and its sequels...um, let's begin...

Story: There isn't much to talk about, really. All you need to know is that this game takes place before Nekopara Vol. 1 and it's a day in the life of Shigure and the catgirls, that's all. The game begins with Shigure waking up Chocola and Vanilla, and after that, they fall asleep again thanks to the scent of Shigure's brother (yes, really), after that, two characters are cooking breakfast and...gah, forget it. Nekopara Vol. 1 at least had a decent story that serves its purpose, but this game doesn't have much of a story in the first place, it's a game focused on comedy and fanservice and as a result the ''story'' that this game might have is bad or mediocre. I can say for sure that even slice of life games can have a great or interesting story, but that doesn't apply to Nekopara Vol. 0 I suppose. Sure, the game has a lot of funny moments or lines and the game made me laugh a lot, at times, it made me laugh out loud, however, this section is about story, not comedy, so, at best, this section should be a 4.

Graphics: The graphics are once again the best part of the game. Pretty much every PC should be able to run Nekopara Vol. 0, the characters look amazing as always, there are animations during the game, and the CG images look great, you can also adjust the chest bounciness of the characters if you want to see breasts bouncing or jiggling ridiculously, said feature is, basically, advertised on the Steam page of the game (''Breast jiggle toggle''), it must be mentioned that Nekopara Vol. 0 isn't the only Nekopara game that lets you adjust the chest bounciness of the characters, however, and as an asexual, that makes me say...why not? Anyway, I don't know the name of the artist, but I can say that the Nekopara games have a great art style, as I said before, the art style reminds me of Tsunako's art style, and coming from me, that's a huge compliment. Nekopara Vol. 0 looks amazing, even today.

Sound: The music of the first game is back, The PC version of Nekopara Vol. 0 was released after Nekopara Vol. 1 on PC, there is the possibility that this game was made on a shoestring budget...I don't remember if there is an original song in the game. During the game, every single theme is recycled from Nekopara Vol. 1! The game doesn't even have an opening song, but more than anything else, the fact that the game reuses the same music from the first game is enough to give this game a lower number compared to the original game, and in my opinion, the music of Nekopara Vol. 1 is unremarkable, it's not a bad soundtrack, but it's not a good soundtrack either, the songs ''Itazura Koneko'' and ''Cat Work'', for example, are enjoyable to listen to, but they aren't songs that you'll want to listen to over and over again, and in my opinion, they aren't very memorable. The voice acting is a mixed bag (again), and yes, I silenced Cinnammon because I don't like her voice as I've said before.

Addictive: I'm sure that every Nekopara game is a kinetic visual novel with only one ending and a lack of gameplay. Nekopara Vol. 0 doesn't have choices and it's just reading dialogue that is often lewd in nature. At least the game is funny as a result. Visual novels are probably my least favorite genre in video games, and the lack of choices or gameplay doesn't help.

Depth: This game lasts around 2 hours, if you read fast and the typos don't break your immersion (unlike me), you can easily finish this game in less than 2 hours and, of course, in only one session, I will admit that I didn't finish this game in one session, I finished Nekopara Vol. 0 in at least 3 or 4 sessions, I don't know why, maybe I'm just not a big fan of this game and visual novels in general...

Difficulty: Once again, this category is a blank space, anyone can finish this game. Let's just leave it at that.

Nekopara Vol. 0 is the cheapest Nekopara game, it seems that in the United States it has a price tag of $2.99 and for Mexicans like me, the game costs only $35.99, which is less than 2 dollars. I suppose that Nekopara Vol. 0 is a cheap game worldwide. Because of the fact that Nekopara Vol. 0 is a prequel of the series, I can recommend this game regardless if you have played a Nekopara game or not...almost. Nekopara Vol. 0 is less enjoyable than Nekopara Vol. 1, even on consoles, and that's partially because it's shorter than Nekopara Vol. 1, even if you are a die-hard Nekopara fan, if you haven't played Nekopara Vol. 0, I still don't know if I would recommend this short game, if you have never played a Nekopara game before, you can start with Nekopara Vol. 0 (it's a prequel after all), and if you have already played the other games, or at least Nekopara Vol. 1, Nekopara Vol. 0 is another enjoyable read, more or less. In the end, the best things I can say about Nekopara Vol. 0 is that the game is as funny, if not even funnier than Nekopara Vol. 1, the price tag is fair, the fanservice is great if you want to play something suggestive that shows a lot of skin and contains sexual dialogue or references, and the game looks great. Other than those things, I don't have more good things to say about this game...It is difficult for me to recommend this game. Depending on who you are, buy another game, but if you have the slightest curiosity about this game, it doesn't hurt to buy it. There are typos in the translation, but it's a funny game. So, if you are interested, and don't have Nekopara Vol. 1 on Nintendo Switch or Playstation 4, you can buy the original version, the PC version of Nekopara Vol. 0 is functional and it works as it should. If you want to read something funny that will probably make you laugh, this isn't a bad choice...
