It’s apparently finally time to go out and see movies again. Theaters were originally supposed to re-open a long time ago but they all kept delaying their opening dates. This wasn’t directly because of the virus or any shutdowns, (Most theaters were staffed and ready to go) but all the big movies kept pushing back their release dates or going digital (Tenet, Mulan, New Mutants), so without any big movies, theaters had no reason to re-open.

They were originally supposed to be opening up again around July 15, then again on July 31, and now most theaters are set to open again this week on the 20th for Regal and 21st for AMC (Theaters in states that still have lockdowns obviously won’t open).

So excited.

zanderlex : do you know how many people they will be allowing in at a time? down where I live the Theaters just reopened this month after being closed since march but are only to run at a 30% capacity due to the virus other places including restaurants and casinos also have to do the same
