How Parents React To Weight Gain And Weight Loss...

Ok...so I decided to make this thread after speaking to my mum not long ago. you see she went shopping and again brought things I didnt ask for. I need to let some vent off about this. as some or most of you know. I took a dramtic weight loss. I ate less carbs, did excerise on thurs which was once a week and I was eating vegan bars I brought from amazon or I would bake my own bars with oats. I enjoyed finally being able to achieve loosing weight because what my mother told me in her own way didnt help. maybe I was depressed for a while on that part? or I just had enough of her complains about it. this started in 2017 or 2018 and I kept going to a resonalble weight I am today. ok so how I weigh myself isnt in pounds but in kl. that way it would be easy to understand what I weigh. I went down to 61 or 62. I wanted to be a size 10 and my mum was huffing and saying I should stay at size 12. she explained why so I was like ok I will. she also said I have to maintain my weight I told her I cant promise her that not bedcause I didnt want too. because that I dont feel that hunger cerge anymore like I used too. with losinf weight I became less hungry in my own way I eat reasonable size to fill me up then drink water or organge juice afterwards. that aids in helping me to be full up.


I dont like eating a size I wont finish now as that would be a waste. do you know what my mum buys me now? she buys me unk food. thinking that would get me to eat more. and she wrong. if anything I now schole her for getting me these things saying its not good for my weight. I find this very hilarious though....I never thought in my life my mum would panic like that. she now says do you want pizza icecream choclates? I an like NO! those things dont help my heath and weight! Which is true. I dont want to gain weight and my mother is trying to enable me to do that. I will tell her next time not to do it unless I ask. I love my junk food I really do. but there is time when its called for. I love my mum I really do. I need to remind her....I dont want to eat unhealthy food like I did years ago. I want to live a long life if I can even with my health probelms. I'm not complaing here to say my mum is a bad mum. in the situation she is now with me and to do with my weight? makes her scared.


if anything she doesnt want me to drop below 60 kl. like I said I cant promise that and even if I do I can find ways to balance wy weight as on how to raise it and how to low it. comes in pratice to do this. if its too low I eat sweets and buy 1 pizza from a store if its too high I eat less carbs and more water.


Anyways thats what I am feeling. Do you guys have this problems with your parents? like if you were obese before but now you are slim? or if you were slim and gained a lot of weight? BTW I am eating pizza now as we speak because of speace in the freezer

At most my parents say the way I eat is going to make me fat, even though I walk about a mile a day both going and coming home from work. To the point where I'm a static 200-230 pounds, I can eat what I eat, as long as I can burn it off, that is how I enjoy doing it.

I find that it is usually a case whenever there is any drastic changes in your weight. I have been losing weight gradually but I think that I definitely prefer doing it in a way that I am comfortable and happy with above else otherwise I wouldn't really feel like I'm doing it for me in the end.

Parents are normally like that, doing things their own way and not minding what their kids truly want to do with their lives.

It's been a while since I've had any scuffles with them, but in my case it's due to my disease that I can't afford to lay low just in case (I'm not fat or anything, just a bit over my ideal weight). I also cannot bring in any major changes in my diet, so they've grown used to what I can eat over the years.

I did have some issues with them on the first years, though. They would bring me things I couldn't eat, or strange things that "should help me gain weight" at a time where I couldn't gain it no matter what I ate. Those were the difficult times, but everything seems to have finally stabilized.

Even if your mother doesn't want you to drop too much in weight, which in a sense is understandable because being underweight isn't healthy either, she should have some more trust in you. She should trust that you're well informed about what to do to keep your weight in check, and she should trust you're not pursuing any crazy goals. You should totally sit down and talk to her about why you're doing this and reassure her you're playing safe.
