There are so many TV shows out there that there has to be at least 1 that you simply don't like. Whether it bores you or you don't like the content, everyone has to have 1 right?

For me it's South Park. Sure it's funny but I just think it's too much. I'm also not that big a fan of The Big Bang Theory.

For me it'd probably be Rick and Morty, I'm not exactly sure why. XD

LuckyCharms : That was me when the show first came out, I just didn't understand why people liked it so much but then it grew on me once I was all caught up.

I might look into it then potentially but I will admit from what I have seen of the fandom I am not quite sure what to make of it just yet.

I tend to stay away from reality tv shows in general and overly goofy/stupid cartoons. I just find no enjoyment from them, nor can I understand why anyone could.

What do you count as reality? Just those weird ones like Kardashians or all including cooking/singing/competitions?

Rick and Morty. I don't get why it's such a popular show.

I will never understand The Big Bang Theory as long as I live. "Haha smart man say big confusing thing" just isn't my type of humor and its sorta offensive. Not even in a cool way.

I will defend Rick and Motry though it's a legitimately funny show that's essentially Back to the Future on drugs and in space. Nothing wrong with that and it's not much more than that.

gotham. it had a fantastic first season and even handle the joker really well where they showed several of his origin stories without say who was actually the joker. but then they threw all of that away and just sank in quality, wound up being a terrible show imo.

Most TV in general doesn't interest me. Can't remember the last time I turned on the TV for anything other than video games or the occasional movie. I'm just not much of a TV watcher because I don't find it interesting or stimulating, so given the choice to passively watch TV or actively engage and interact in a video game, I will always choose the latter.

That said, since I'm not really up to speed on current/popular TV shows, a genre of TV show that I despise is reality TV. For example, Keeping up with the Kardashians? Utterly banal and pointless. To me, vapid stuff like this is a bigger waste of time than watching paint dry. Why not actually live your life or fill it with something meaningful instead of watching this mindless trash? What baffles me is that in spite of how awful reality TV is, millions of people tune in every week to watch it. Another thing I find funny is how watching garbage reality TV is largely deemed socially acceptable and normal, but people that play video games are still often cast in a negative light in spite of the enormous increase in their popularity since the 1980s. It was even reported in 2018 that video game revenue surpassed global box office revenue at $43.8 billion vs $41.7 billion (https://techcrunch.com/2019/01/22/video-game-revenue-tops-43-billion-in-2018-an-18-jump-from-2017/). Why the stigma towards video games? It's a hobby just the same and like most other hobbies, it is an unproductive pastime. I dunno, just find it odd what makes reality TV socially acceptable and video games by and large, not.

zanderlex : I strongly hate South Park, too, and it irritates me that there's so little contempt for it on the internet as well as that so many people call it "clever" and "funny" when it's just gratuitously inappropriate. However, it's deeply ironic that a guy whom likes edgy crap like Bayonetta and Game of Thrones would criticize the show for being "too much". Yeah, I hate South Park just as much as any smart person. I completely despise the terrible graphics, soundtrack, voice acting, and of course, the over-the-top inappropriateness among just about everything else the show has to offer. But I will say that Bayonetta and Game of Thrones are honestly just as bad.

I also agree that The Big Bang Theory is a pretty lousy program, as I always think "Why not just stick with Seinfeld? It's much better in every conceivable way." However, I will say that Sheldon Cooper from the show is a very memorable and lovably humorous character and one of the greatest live-action characters in recent memory (definitely better than anyone from Stranger Things).

As for a show I can't stand, I think I just said it earlier; Game of Thrones. It's plagued by excess gore such as skinning humans and cannibalism, a big lack of fantasy elements despite supposedly being fantasy-themed, victorious villains and unsuccessful heroes, and huge amounts of sex and incest among other faults. It's the perfect example that a rich and detailed plot with a big cast of fleshed-out three-dimensional characters and all that will ultimately amount to nothing if the show itself is generally terrible, which Game of Thrones most certainly is.
