Alright everyone, so I've never actually seen the movie for it, but the song hard knock life gets stuck in my head all the time. However, I've noticed that people tend to like to remix or remake it, and I just feel like the original doesn't need to be meddle with.

For starters, we have Jay Z's version, where he actually just takes pieces of the song, and sings around it. I'm not really sure why he did this, but I guess that shows he's a fan of the song.

I find it completely unnecessary, but it's alright as a tribute. It's the first version you get when you look up Hard Knock Life on YouTube, that part feels wrong.

Then we have the remake.

I find this one to be much worse, the added bits take away from the flow, and it sounds like they're auto tuned a bit. To make it worse, they don't really seem to echo that feeling of contempt in their singing, this just feels wrong.

I know there's more, but those are the only ones I'm showcasing for you. I guess people must really love this song, and the movie it came from, or it wouldn't have so many views on YouTube.

I saw the remake version of the film first and then finally like years later I got around to watching the original and I definitely enjoyed it much more than the remake in basically every way possible including all of the songs. I love the original version of the song, I think it is rather cute and catchy and I can't help but sing it whenever it comes on. XD
